The Gaffin Lecture on Theology, Culture, and Missions is a lecture in biblical or systematic theology to honor the work of Dr. Richard B. Gaffin, Jr., Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology, Emeritus. Past lectures have been given by Drs. Bruce Waltke, Robert Letham, Paul Wells, Al Mohler, D. A. Carson, David Wells, John Piper, Peter Jensen, Noel Weeks, Herman Selderhuis, Benyamin Intan, Ligon Duncan, and Michael Horton.
Philip G. Ryken (MDiv, Westminster Theological Seminary; DPhil, University of Oxford) is president of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and a Council member of The Gospel Coalition. He has authored more than 50 books, including Loving the Way Jesus Loves. He and his wife, Lisa, have five children and two grandchildren.
