So it was the right decision to report it since it was near a hiking trail. The true horror is that there is probably predators that exist who don't have a criminal history that do this with cabins near hiking trails, because people go missing on hiking trails all the time.

No. They hate the ones they feel are even lower than themselves, and it is not at all uncommon for guards to give information on new inmates on the block, especially the less favorable ones.
