How beautiful is he? How can someone be so brave as to pour their heart and vulnerabilities into a song for all to hear. My son and I bought tickets to his 2022 concert in germany but it was cancelled due to Randy having broken his neck!! Then the concert rescheduled for this year was also cancelled. We are both very sad about it because we believe him to be a legend. He certainly touches our hearts and we wish him only the very best and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his wonderful songs and his authenticity!!

When my wife and I FINALLY got to see Randy Newman in concert at the @HollywoodBowl in 2018, I had never heard this haunting beautiful song before. Tears welled up in my eyes as the great Mr. Newman began his musical masterpiece (from COP ROCK, how about that???). God bless you, Mr. Newman. You are truly are an American treasure!

@@chadweirick67 do you sing? I have years of singing experience and he does it well. The feeling is there, the nuances are there, the subtlety is there. He has lost some of his range due to age, but he still sings great. Very emotional and melodic. Sing this song better to prove me wrong.

Why do you think people are crying listening to this performance? Not just the song, but him singing. He does what any singer's goal should be. He conveys emotions through subtlety. That requires a certain level of vocal mastery. All people who tried to do that in their life know this. You can have a vocal capacity of Fritz Wunderlich and still not be able to do this. It takes training and heart. So don't be a fool to criticize a genius
