Joy and sadness (or anger etc) are two sides of the same coin. You only can define joy if you can differentiate it from something that's not joy. So one can't exist without the other. In my yes there is no way to ALWAYS and in every second feel great. Also, that idea doesn't even sound good to me personally, but downright scary. I felt extreme joy for almost a whole day once. At a certain time it became dull, it was not special anymore, I wanted it to go, no joke. It was like eating pizza all day, after a certain point, it gets too much. The bitter makes the sweet, well sweet in the first place. I WANT to feel sad and angry sometimes, I want the whole party. Everything is the gift in my eyes.
