Wham's greatest music videos: Andrew Ridgeley breaks down his biggest hits | Smooth's Video Rewind
Look back at Wham's greatest songs and music videos as Andrew Ridgeley remembers his and George Michael's best moments.
In just a few years in the 1980s, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley took over the pop world with their brand of infectious party anthems, emotional love songs and tunes of empowerment.
Marking the duo's 40th anniversary, as well as what would have been George Michael's 60th birthday, Andrew has looked back at the band's greatest music videos, exclusively for Smooth Radio.
In the first of our new Video Rewind series, Andrew takes us through some of Wham's greatest-ever music videos, recalling stories from the shoot, funny moments, fascinating facts and more.

What I learned from the Wham! documentary was how much George Michael owed to his own success to Andrew Ridgley. It was Andrew who allowed George to come out of his shell and kept George's homosexuality a secret so that the image of George Michael could thrive. George went to his grave knowing he would never had reached superstardom without Andrew. And that's what you call friends for life!

Absolutely loved the Netflix documentary, I found myself singing along to all the Wham songs. Wham! Was really about a deep and beautiful friendship and one of the most healthy and supportive relationships among stars I've ever seen. To go from the ring leader to a cheerleader took real humility and love on Andrew's part and it shows that there would never have been a “George Michael” if there hadn’t been Andrew there giving him support and confidence along the way.

finally Someone who listens to George who always said he couldn't have done it without Andrew Wham was more than just a band and they always intended to end it while they were still on the top and before they got older and burnt out and bored with it they also put the friendship first they knew what the music industry could do to friends and they were not going to let fame and money and the industry come between them🌺

I tried looking it up once, and the only thing I see is Andrew only being interview with him on a talk shows, and practically all of these shows, only asking him questions about George Michael. I didn’t know Andrew’s name until now, but I will say this….. When I thought of Wham, I thought of them both, and not just “George Michael’s band.” Andrew had natural charisma. The documentary just confirms why as a kid, I always thought “the other guy” was so cool. George had the voice…but Andrew had the charisma to be a star for sure. It was like two halfs making a whole. They’re equivalent to hall n Oates…..to me. A perfect pair.

Wham had some absolute bangers, I'm your man was the 1st single I ever bought. George was and still is the best voice this country has had imo (Freddie being close 2nd!) Andrew was such a huge influence on George and a massive part of their success which showed in the Netflix documentary. I hope he continues to carry the Wham name forward somehow, he certainly deserves the right to. As someone else has already pointed out, it would've been awesome if they had done a reunion tour before George passed. I certainly would've loved to see that as I was too young when they were at their peak. R.I.P George.

@@leykimayriHe wrote a lot of the original songs, came up with the music/chord progressions, played instruments and recorded all the demos, he quit Wham because he hated being famous and instead decided to live in the South of France racing cars, then I think he missed it so he tried to break into acting unsuccessfully.

Saw an interview from Yahoo! here on KZfaq where Andrew said he wouldn't have wanted a reunion since Wham! was an embodiment of their youth, and doing a reunion as grown men didn't fit quite right to him.

It's too bad that whoever mixed this made the background music so loud and disruptive that we can barely pay attention to Andrew's words
