I just started living in Japan. As a broke ass student who got this huge crush on his Japanese classmate, I was really nervous in asking her to any kind of date thinking it won't live up to her expectations. Man this makes me miss my time in Japan as a high schooler. I graduated on an American military base in Tokyo and had a date in Tokyo when I was 18 where we went and took pictures of the scenery with vintage cameras we picked up at a place called "Big Camera" in Japan. We never dated but were still friends to this day 12+ years later :) Loved this!

This was a great date! Best advice I can give you is when the opportunities arise to take your shot when the timing is right. Please don’t be too shy or scared to take your shot. The friend zone is a horrible place to be if it is unrequited love. You guys have a wonderful chemistry and I hope that it grows from a strong foundation of friendship to someone romantic for both of you in the future. Good luck!
