Can we break 90? - EVERY SHOT [Flint Golf Club]
A round of golf at Flint golf club in North Wales. It's a 9-hole par 35 course which measures 2900 yards from the yellow tees.
This round cost £10 in September 2023.
Taylormade Iron Test Video link:
• Taylormade vs Callaway...
I'm James, a golfer with a dodgy swing playing off a 14.8 hcp (stable now finally).
I had a long layoff in 2023 with hardly any golf played for 4 months. So things are less stable on the scoring side right now.
I like to play lots of different courses and today it's at the scenic (but very hilly) Flint golf course.

Thanks James, for another enjoyable video. I appreciate how you share what clubs are in your bag and what kind of balls you are using. And your camera skills are second to none! You do justice to the course and the beautiful scenery. I also admire your calm demeanor. If I had two BRUTAL lip outs like that, my response would have been edited out. 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the good work young man.

Great to see another video from you James! An interesting little course and one I noticed on golf now over the summer and didn't even know it was there! I think there is another 9 hole flint course called 'flint mountain course' as well, nearby. Maybe worth a visit and a comparison in one of your videos. You were robbed on a couple of those putts! Couldn't believe how slopey and swingy some of the greens were - it didn't appear that way from the camera. Looked quite a basic course in terms of the style and upkeep but the greens looked surprisingly good!👍⛳

Cheers James. Loved this one. I also like your strategy to use more irons off the tee and not taking on the long approach greens with woods. Better to lay up with an iron and use a wedge to get you on the green. Ive found this approach has improved my wedges alot and I end up getting up-&-down to save par and worse case 2 putt for bogey. This has been a big game changer for me.

Those look like the Merino Wool socks you recommended to me James, they're great, but they don't fit the Flint Golf Club dress code! Golf dress codes are somewhat silly, lol. My first time at Flint and the course was in very good nick. Pleasantly surprised, especially by the nice greens. My Taylormade irons are almost immaculate which I think helps with the playability. If they were battered I probably wouldn't consider putting them in the bag. I bet you were ready to get your tour card after that 69 round 👌👌👌

Hey James. Wow! I've never seen so many mulligans on one hole. Is that a new rule in Wales? I'd be a 2 handicap if I could do that. Wanted to give your followers a report on the new Hybrid Irons I bought and have played now for 3 rounds. I'm 62 yrs. young and heard the senior pros play them, I can see the advantage. They take some getting used to. Unlike my other irons that I had; I couldn't hit anything under a 7 iron. Now it's the 8-gap wedge with the hybrids that I'm having to adjust to due to the head scuffing the ground more than my other 8-Gap. It's a little harder to pick it clean and judge the distance and how hard to swing. Overall, I like them much better. Practice my boy practice. I hit the 3-7 now pretty well. Each club is like hitting a hybrid. I guess that's why they're called Hybrids! Duh.. Keep up the good work. Gregg

Cheers, they are 70 compression and are great chipping around the green. However, due to my low swing speed I lose a little distance (maybe 10 yards with the driver). This is comparing to Srixon Soft Feel/Wilson Duo Soft balls which are 60/40 compression. Thanks for watching
