Hi Emmanuel, I've been a trumpet player for 30 years now and I started learning the bass 5 years ago and loving it. My wife and I started attending a new church 14 months ago and I just recently auditioned for our praise and worship team and I was accepted. We play many of the songs in your videos. I just discovered your bass cover video channel today and you are AWESOME! I want to play bass like you! Thank you for your inspiring videos. And yes, I subscribed to your channel immediately. I've read other post about people asking you if you give online lessons and you tell them that you don't. May I ask you if you can tell me your fret fingering patterns? I would love to practice on some of your techniques. Thank you and may the Lord continue to bless you! - Ken

Hi Ken, thanks a lot for writing. Glad to hear you are serving on your praise and worship team. I am very thankful to GOD for the opportunity to share these bass covers with you and many others. I give him all the praise. Unfortunately, I am an improvisational musician. Everything I play is purely by ear, so it tends to be difficult to create tabs or share what I am doing in a manner that is accessible. That is why I try to show my fingerboard and finger movements. I am hoping you will be able to pick up some nuggets from that. There is also a 'slow down' feature in KZfaq that is an invaluable learning tool. Very sorry I can't be more helpful beyond sharing these videos.

Thank you brother for posting this video. With a good bass accompaniment the song always sounds better. You sound great. That is the way I want to be able to play the bass. Working on it now. Do you just figure out the song by following the chords to come up with your notes. Any advice would be appreciated.
@esongsore2 жыл бұрын
All glory to JESUS and thanks for the kind words. I generally memorize the main chord progression and try to add my own elements. Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) is one of the easier genres of music to play, as the same or similar chord progressions are repeated a lot in most songs. My general advise is to always listening and take note of sections that repeat the same progressions, you will find a lot of them in any of these songs....and it makes memorization so much more easy.

sounds good bud just two suggestions, make the bass be a little higher than the track so its easier to here the notes you are playing and two if you can add the charts for what yo are playing so we can better follow you. keep up the great work God Bless

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. Hoping to start posting again early next year. I will aim to make the bass a lot louder. Unfortunately, I don't know how to read or write charts or tabs. I just bought a resource to learn that stuff. I will try my best, but can't promise. GOD bless you for taking time to write these suggestions. I appreciate them and don't take them for granted.

@esongsore Жыл бұрын
First, GOD's grace and secondly, I spend a lot of time memorizing music and playing along before posting these covers. The more you are familiar with a song, the more effortless playing becomes.
