Thank you for reacting to Zhoushen’s “My Only”. I felt exactly the same way as you did. Speechless as well! Zhoushen’s art of singing is moving hearts and souls in its natural beautiful flow. Personally I think he is truly a healer singer who heals numerous souls. He is an angel sent to us.

This song is for a new TV drama in China and this song comes out not more than a week. I believe it will be heard around the world who like Zhou Shen very soon. I believe I heard more than 3 reactors say God took Micheal Jackson away from us but God gave us Zhou Shen now. If you like this song. You should check out more English songs from Zhou Shen. They are all wonderful and very peaceful to listen and those songs can heal our souls. One more thing I like to mention is that from many previous interviews with Zhou Shen. He didn't really think about any awards whatsoever. He just likes to sings. He just wants to use his voice to make people happy and to make his fans proud who like his music. He said he works so hard just to pay respect to all his fans. He also mentions is as long as only one person likes his music, he will keep on singing. That's why for the last 7 years he had a live broadcast on his birthday for his fans. He didn't need to do this. If other singers when they are famous, they will just have a concert to earn money from their fans but Zhou Shen did this live broadcast and sings for over 2 hours every year for free to his fans. Now I hope you will understand a bit more about Zhou Shen. I am so happy you like his music.

The song will no doubt gain traction domestically to a degree but be capped because, unfortunately, the lyrics are in English. In passing, it's apparent that the lyrics are written by a native Chinese person who has done a good job but I wish he also has a Chinese version, which, if done nicely, can almost guarantee Zhou's ascending to stardom.

This is ost song, the China drama is not come out yet. He try into top Asian billionbraod chart, he get top 40 & 50. I hope American artist knowing Zhou Shen listen his music first, I think nobody know Zhou Shen great talent yet. Is very difficult for him visit any country or place because he is from China? This was a new song released last week and was Zhou Shen's 3rd original English song. It is the ending song for a very hot Chinese TV drama: "Reset" which is currently on show. Zhou Shen has been very popular in China since 2019 and his popularity has been growing ever since. He should have enjoyed much more attention in the western countries. However the Covid pandemic has hampered his efforts to entering Europe and America. Otherwise he would have become an international star already.

You’re absolutely right, teacher Paul. From this song you can feel what we felts all this time which we understand the lyrics on Charlie Zhou Shen’s Chinese song. He is always delivering that emotion feelings in all his songs. Charlie has a special power in his song, he can deliver the feelings right into your heart. When you understand the lyric the feelings is even stronger. I cry with his songs and laugh with his songs which I never experienced that before Charlie, after listening the songs, I felt so relief. During pandemic time, I found Charlie, his song and personality gave me a lot of encourage to avoid being so sad, no hope, and to avoid from the chaos world at that time.. I really really hope Charlie Zhou Shen can be heard by the whole world, help them, give them some encouragement too.

Why isn’t he an international star? He’s from China, and I think many from the West still prefer singers from USA or UK or Europe. Unless the singers also dance, and are tall and good looking (even if it is with the help of plastic surgery) in which case Kpop stars are accepted. The melody of this song is catchy but the lyrics are quite simplistic. Pales in comparison to Big Fish or the theme of the docu on emperors, or many of his other OST in Mandarin.

If you really like zhou shen voice, i recommend you his other english song "sanctuary", this is one of my favorite song by zhou shen. And i think it's underrated.

Why is Zhou Shen not internationally popular yet? There are probably politics at work. Arts, music & etc. are regarded as part of soft power spreading by China and therefore they are not readily embraced by some Western countries.

He does to people what Celine Dion does. It's ethereal, taking all of us to a perfect place far away from stress & anxiousness. He is a gift from heaven. The world needs him. I can only wonder if he realizes how beautiful he sounds to the rest of us.
