Griselda brought me back to rap. I started listening to them about 5- 6 years ago, when they were starting up. I heard Westside on a track with Planet Asia. TRIPLE BEAM. I was listening to a lot of GCM at that time. Westside voice was mesmerizing. Went on KZfaq and discovered Mister T. I immediately starting downloading their music. GRISELDA GHOST, HALL AND NASH, THE HITLER WEARS HERMES.... Then I heard BENNY on Shower Shoes..."could a toId my story on Oprah, 60 minutes, how I earned plenty digits from risky business" was like who the FUCK is this! After that I was listening to as much BENNY as possible I remember him in an interview , years ago... He said he stopped rapping and starting talking He stopped trying to make music that was popping. The drake, the two Chainz etc., he just started talking. Telling his life. He more he just talked, the more people listened. I started listening. Their is so much validity in his bars. They are simple but complex. Everything means something else. Yet it relates to anyone at any position in life.

I think Benny's verse is slept on, like the Rocky/chicken bar was a hell of a double cuz you can argue that he may have used ROCKy in regard to crack rocks then tied a nice bow on it with chickens. However, Cole was on a whole 'nother level on this...I'm hoping that real rappers start coming at him this year so we can see what he's really made of. If he brings this kind of energy all year and on It's a Boy and The Fall Off, anyone who says he's not one of the GOATs will officially be a hater #opinion
