Captain Titus is such a Gigachad, taking the blow for his brothers and sisters in arms, despite being the one who saved everyone on the planet. Not a very fulfilling ending, but certainly a memorable one

The multiplayer scene is still somewhat active but not via the game itself, besides the Exterminatus mode. For the others you'll want to look up a dedicated Steam group. Edit: Also that chain around his wrist ISN'T a punishment, it's something he picked up from his time with the Black Templars (super zealot Space Marines that actually worship the Emperor as a god which is actually really rare for Marines) who themselves picked it up from the World Eaters (tragic berserker boys) before the Horus Heresy broke out. Its there to let him drop his weapons and free up his hands without actually losing his weapons.

@preach Titus did indeed get demoted as in the trailer you can see he has the marking of a lieutenant on his helmet which the the red and white stripe, he is also now Primaris Marine which is a genetic upgrade from what are now known as Firstborn Marines which is what all the marines were in the first game so now they're a bit bigger, stronger with extra organ implants over a regular firstborn, something you should know is the 40K lore in the last few years has taken some massive steps forward in its story where as over the past few decades its been pretty stagnant, I wont go into it as there's WAY to much to go into in a KZfaq comment. On a last note I really hope you enjoy Dawn of War, the first one is considered one of the best in it's series, and some consider it up there with some of the best RTS' ever made.

It's funny how Mike rightfully points out that the last boss, the super cinematic, QTE fest is very 2011, and yet it's been I guess long enough, where games like Spiderman now can just have that and people are ok with it again. I'm good with them staying the past

We know what happend, in white dwarf magazine there was article, he was held in stasis for like 150 years? inquisitor that held him turned to chaos and was killed by grey knights and they freed titus, he was sure that ultras abandoned him and went to fight for the emperor with death watch, where ha almost died to tyranids but was saved by ultras

The thing I find with Space Marine multiplayer is it is dead as a doorknob most of the time. But when there is a sale it comes back to life for a few weeks, at least if you play annihilation or exterminatus. Let’s hope Space Marine 2 when it comes out in a few months has a vibrant multiplayer for a while and doesn’t end up as dead as game 1 did.

I love that scene because yea Leandros in our sense is being a bitch, but he is totally right. Girlyman said to follow that to their blueberry boys. And yeah if you know a lot about 40K, heresy is quite a lot. The Inquisitions motto is - "Innocence proves Nothing". I hope they wont make Leandros some bad guy in 2. I like that conflict between what is right, and the Codex. EDIT : Yes according to Codex Leandros should have gone to the Librarian. But I think the developers wanted to keep it casual-friendly, so they changed it to inquisition so that casuals (like me around that time) would easily get a shock. But this is me most coming from - I dont want Leadros to be a bitch boy, or evil guy, or something like that. I want this argument of Codex vs Reality between Titus and Leandros in future. Something similar was done between a Sororitas sister vs a Guards-woman about faith in the WH+ series too.

Space Marine 2 skips over so much stuff that happens following 1 that I only recently learned it myself. Could have easily made a Space Marine 2 out of his time serving the Deathwatch (Space Marines from myriad Chapters serving the Inquisition as alien hunters) as a Black Shield (Space Marine whose stripped themselves of their Chapter's iconography out of shame). Regardless, I was so happy when the sequel was announced.

Celestial Lions (an Astarte's chapter) was almost wiped out by the Inquisition during a larger war by ordering them into the slaughtering ground, trapping them, and having snipers pick of their leaders (if I recall it correctly) over the fact that a few decades ago the Chapter criticised the an Inquisitors behaviour.

This game really was underrated back when it was new! Great game and intro to the universe

It's weird to hear Preach laud short games that get to the point as if they were some halcyon day in game design. At the time, everyone hated it as it was viewed as short changing the consumer since these games were priced $60 but had only 10 hours of game while you paid the same amount for Half Life 2 and got way more value for your money.

This is going to lead to you playing the tabletop game. Which it should!

Pretty sure Shenmue 1 on Dreamcast was the game that codified the term QTE.
