@@Love1isall because the people playing high stakes are already rich and can afford to lose. If you are a good player with a dollar to your name it will take you a lifetime to be able to afford to play at that level.

This 4th hand great with 99. You are often in that position. My question is, what we are expexting on river that make us call the turn? We are just hoping for a check-check river or we hope for smaller bet to call the river?

Kinda easy to guess what Laurant is going to do, because raise is not an option - the bottom set call is pretty rediculous

Ikr, xr massive and I mean massive. It doesn't really matter they are going to fold that spot or they are going to call and the range is pretty inelastic.

@@jeffshackleford3152 I think there is some elasticity, though I agree with the general concept. Bad Kx/pocket pair/ok draws (open ended no flush draw/low flush draw) can fold to massive reraise (like 10bb) but more likely to call 5-6. Though as stated - it doesn't really matter - there is eregency and you must stack the good Kx, 2p or whales

I would agree ~ 16 min that the innocuous flop coupled with K turn spot may be one of the most overbluffed spots in poker. Even the nits come out of their holes and fire the second barrel with almost their entire range (except of course w any pair in between the K and flopped top pair). Calling all pairs with intention of calling most rivers may print.

to the 9K42A... villain also has Ax of diamonds, hearts. if not he might think that the A does not really matter too much on that node so he still could actually value bet his Kx. i am ai all day, and fine to see the bad news sometimes.

Your scoring system is plain bizarre. That 55 hand literally couldn’t have reasonably been played any other way. To give it less than a 5/10 is sheer insanity. It makes zero sense.

yeah he should probably rethink that. I would probably put hands in easy, medium, hard scale and then start deducting from 10 for each mistake

It comes from the phrase "running the gauntlet", which means to do something where a lot of people are critiquing or criticizing you.

"running the gauntlet" means (copy paste from wikipedia) To run the gauntlet means to take part in a form of corporal punishment in which the party judged guilty is forced to run between two rows of soldiers, who strike out and attack them with sticks or other weapons. Metaphorically, this expression is also used to convey a public trial that one must overcome. basically to get through a confined area where you are getting a beating.

@@BarvGwydh he’s giving out 6s to mediocre plays most of these hands are 4s. Last week he got all goofy cause the dude had like 3 really nice plays and like 18 blunders. I prefer ruthless Pete that gives 2s like potatoes

@@insomnyteq which hands in particular? the check call with AK on K94 two tone isn't outrageous. the A9cc hand on 678 he arguably found the best line. the flop bet is meh. the turn jam where no one bluffs pot size and you're freerolling seems ok, maybe even just very good. there is no river where you fold, so J9 gets it all either way. anyway, it's all just for fun. someone could play a hand perfectly but none of the plays were hard to find so you get a 7. I think the scores are besides the point lol we are meant to be here for strategy talk
