@@jw4684 it's a sad heart breaking truth for many churches in America today and I may have sounded like I enjoyed being funny but what you don't see is the heavy heart because it's actually so much worse..I couldn't bring myself to mention the most agregious things we do as professed believers in Christ Jesus..if my heart is broken and I'm just an unworthy pathetic nobody who realized that I was desperately hopeless without Christ Jesus. I don't want to imagine or assume I could even begin to understand what Christ must think of His bride here in America..As we sit abjectly silent on issues that are incomprehensible and an abomination to Him. righteousness..that He went willingly to the cross where He bore the wrath we deserved not Him..His Holy infinite father poured out on His perfect son. No I can't begin to even think or assume I can do that...the infighting backbiting self righteous baby slaughtering, indifferent to the hungry hurting and lost in our country while we cram our atticks and garages full of boxes of useless trinkets while our neighbors go hungry or without while we rush hither and dither indifferent to there physical or spiritual needs. We silently accept and allow homosexual people living a life of sexual depravity preach in our churches and not address the severity the way Our Lord feels about sexual depravity. We allow satanism to be called a religion now not a cult witches can join the Methodist Church leadership we allow the culture to tell our children they can choose their own sexuality now and we can't disagree. Shoot my five year old couldn't decide between vanilla or strawberry ice cream most the time. My gracious I don't recognize the world around me nor can I identify the believers from the rest of the world anymore. Most of my day i feel alone and when I do attend church because I get so convicted for not joining the assembly of the saints most often that lonely feeling doesn't leave nor do I find the holy Spirit in the worship message or conversation with the Random people I bump into. I nobody absolutely nobody but I love Jesus with everything in my being I can't fathom him dying for a self righteous pios arrogant butt head like me but He did..He really did..I never gave him the time of day or priority in my life but He never failed to be there for me..I disrespected and dismissed the warnings of the Holy Spirit over and over again and thought I was a spiritual person...my goodness how could someone relinquish His perfect innocent righteous kingship and suffer the wrath that I deserve Not Him, me! Times the world times two thousand plus years..I can't begin to get my head around that alone, let alone everything else He created so perfectly and precisely...it's humanly impossible to fully describe or understand the majesty of Him. But look at us now ..God have mercy on us please forgive me and my brothers and sisters. We truly don't really appreciate what you have done for US...or we would not be as we are today here in America. I weep bitterly for the way I so cavalierly took for granted His sacrifice for me. I ponder continually the magnitude of its meaning for my sinful unworthy soul. I can't bring myself to be a part of worship or anything anymore that doesn't really evaluate most reverently and soberly the implications that means for my salvation and eternal destiny. He is deserving of my our absolute best..not the bare minimum.
