I love my husband and pray for him daily ❤ One day we were sitting in our room just talking about our 3 beautiful daughters then he starts saying like he wants another baby, I looked at him and 'Nooo nomore babies!!' Lol mind you that our baby was 6 at the time no more changing diapers or potty training! Then! He starts praying to God to bless us with another child!! And I ofcourse starting praying too 'No Please Lord! 🙏 i'm done' so as I was praying I heard him saying in my spirit 'Submit to your husband' i yelled Nooo lol forgive me Lord 😄 I was so amazed that He spoke to me in my spirit! And He does listen when you pray! Glory to God 💗 😊

Owning what you did and truly apologizing and not repeating the behavior will show you mean it,then ask for forgiveness then sit and talk and really listen to what she says she needs without interrupting so she feels what she has to say means something to you, I am temporarily separated myself 38 years of marriage this month so I’m truly speaking from experience, when you allow her to speak without berating her you will see her heart softening and the intimacy will come back,we are also going to separate counseling to heal ourselves then we will do marriage counseling, idk your whole circumstances but mine is many years of pain and I pray daily,my Bible study group prays and so does my ARMS class ,I believe in power in prayer, you can turn this around by walking in the lord not just talking in the lord 🙏🏼

A great start would be to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Read your Bible everyday start in the Book of John. Ask God to guide you to a true Holy Ghost filled Church of holiness, pray on your knees, ask Jesus to forgive your sins and tell him you want to be a loving husband and would love to win your wife’s heart back. God listens to prayers like this because he’s the best healer I have ever known.

Start praying silently for your wife, every day, the Lord only can give you wisedom to act the right way. Pray for your wife, for her to see your needs. And start acting the way you are supposed to act even though your wife is still the same. Bring her flowers and love her even if you feel like she dont deserve it with her behaviour. This really really works. It worked for me, the Lord really listens to people when they desperately need Him. It also is very important to trust the Lord and give everything in His hands. It brought such wonders in our relationship I can't even describe.

@bravoman I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing pain in your marriage . And I’m even more sad that u r blaming God for the wife you choose to marry... I don’t think that God had a gun at ur head, asking you to marry her on ur wedding day at the altar . He gave all of us free choice and wisdom ( if we allow the Holy Spirit to reside in us and we have “ the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”). Last year, I had a church guy coming to me and telling me that God told him that I’m his wife. I was naive, I thought it could be ... even if I felt strange because I did not feel any spiritual connection, attraction zero ... but I said : “ if God said so, let me give him the chance and know him better”. I realized that he was trying to manipulate me big time and he was not a truly christian and also I was praying and fasting , asking God also for a confirmation ... without realizing that the lack of peace , the red flags I kept on seeing, the fact that there was no attraction at all and we had different views even spiritually - were the confirmation that he was a counterfeit . If I’d have listened to the man’s pressure to marry and give into the thinking that it’s ok not to feel anything for the man , no attraction - as long as he is from God- I’d have been fooled and honestly I would not have blamed God for that .... because He showed me red flags when I searched His will in prayer and fasting , I had no peace about that and I’d have to live with the consequences. Nevertheless , God can restore any relationship. Read the book “ Every man’s battle” and hopefully u’ll understand some of the reasons u might not feel attracted to her ( perhaps feeding the eyes with the images of other women online, on the street, magazines ,addicted to pornography, comparing her to other women, not respecting the covenant u made with her in front of God etc .... all these are stealing from ur marriage, from the attraction u would feel towards ur wife because God would honor ur decision to respect and have eyes for the woman u married). God bless you ! Pray for community , pray that God will restore ur marriage and do not give up to what Jesus did for u, do not give up to ur salvation ! No one in this world will ever be more by your side than Jesus .... no one. Don’t give up bro! Take ur broken pieces to Him . Jesus loves you☺️

It became unbearable the things he said and did to me so after much prayer I divorced him after 25 years. He remarried 7 months later. They were having an affair. So what happens to people like me who still believe in marriage? I'm in my early 60s and am very healthy and in good shape. Will God bring me the right husband? I am not going on any dating sites.

LVNCSR~You did the right thing by divorcing him. You have to release men like him, they can't and won't change. 60s is still young, especially if you have a young mind and young spirit. These qualities add vitality to your life. As far as wishing God will find you a man, God will lead the way but you also have to start moving, interacting, and socializing, for only than God can send you a man. Lastly, take your time before investing too much time and attention in a man. In any man. By taking our time to get to know a man, we can avoid men who are not good or kind. Taking our time will reveal any red flags that will be presented in early courtship. Wishing you all the best in dating and mingling! 👍

The Lord wants to give you the desires of your heart and you pray for a good God fearing husband just like I did and he can bless you with one. He did it for me. Maybe you did get remarried now, but if not go on Christian Mingle that is where I met my husband and two other friends I know. God bless you!!

Am so sorry dear, but according to the Bible. God hates divorce, however one can chose to give a certificate of divorce in the issue of adultery. And He goes on to say, if any of you remarry, you are committing adultery and that is a sin against God So, be thankful and rejoice in the Lord your God, who would you rather please yourself or God? Who would you obey, your feelings and desires or God's instructions? Your answer would determine the state of your heart with God.

You did the right thing. I'm in the same boat except I'm 65. I have to start over, getting a job, supporting myself again. I know why God hated divorce. It's because He had to divorce Israel and He knows the pain of it. But I'm on the same page with you and trust that God will being me a love who will not abuse me. I learned to love myself and respect myself through all the abuse. God is a wonderful, forgiving, and faithful Father. I am not giving up on love.

Yes, Paul often wrote, and the first 70+% of the Bible gives examples, that the marriage, in earth, is to be above all. Your kids will learn about love and themselves by watching you. Men and women tend to fight more when they compete each other with their relationships with their kids. It's awful. The Lord brings the best of the beauty of Creation through marriage, 2 becoming one. The completion of what separated from the fall.

He's kinda downplaying the biblical principal of men being the servant leaders in marriage by saying husbands and wives are co-leaders so that he's less offensive to the feminist women in his audience. I also think he's softening the concept of women having a gentle and quiet spirit by saying "Some women are just not that way and that's okay" instead of challenging them to conform more into the type of women God wants them to be like by dying to their flesh and becoming new creations in Christ. Its hard to change and the message can be offensive nowadays, but it's biblical none the less

My husband says he wants a divorce every single year. He goes through a depression, he starts to feel unhappy and blames everything on me. We have been married for 7 years. We have an 8 month old daughter and I'm so tired of always giving him grace and always lifting him out of that negative space while he breaks my heart n mistreats me. He decided not to come home today. His extended family encourages him to divorce me and they always make excuses for him. Out of 13 people not 1 have ever told him to work on himself and protect his wife and daughter as he works through things. His parents are pastors, they have told him they didn't want him to marry me because I'm not black n other hateful things. I'm so hurt and angry. I want to give up but my little daughter n God encourage me to keep fighting but I just don't know that I can anymore. I am hurting staying in this marriage.

My husband's looks are not what drew me to him at first... and I even know of a man (a really wise one, I'd say) who asked God to help him see a certain woman that friends/family were trying to set him up with the way that God saw her (instead of just ignoring their setup attempt) and .... and after a little while he wanted to marry her (and she accepted) and they've had a long and fruitful marriage and life together.... it was not obviously 'love or attraction at first sight' for him. I don't know. Plus I do know quite a few people who have made arranged marriages where they barely get to meet before marrying work really well and statistically arranged marriages and "love" marriages are not that different in "success" rates. So that's probably my even longer, more confusing thoughts and questions on the topic. (Smiling emoji).

If we can’t bear children for our husband does that mean our body deserves to be compared to other women’s bodies?

CORRECTION, Sir: UNWANTED SEX IS RAPE! I am not a whore. When my husband stopped doing what he did to turn me on in the beginning of our marriage, it did NOT become my obligation to be his whore. Sex is reciprocal, not a one way street! - For the man’s pleasure and not hers! THIS IS WRONG WRONG WRONG!!

I don't know the specifics of your marriage but in every marriage the sexual desire tends to wane after the first couple years and then it becomes effort on both of your parts to keep the romance alive. Almost EVERY woman has a lower sex drive than her man and it is very common wives to neglect the sex. I'll bet that if I spoke to your husband he would probably say that YOU have stopped doing things that made him want to marry you also. I would not be surprised if he said that you slowed down the sex long before he stopped the romance, and then he eventually stopped the romance because he was not seeing a return on his emotional investment. So many women pretend to be into sex more than they are, into sports more than they actually are, into politics more than they are, etc and then once they get the guy to marry them the mask comes off and the woman decides she no longer needs to pretend and stops going to games with her husband, starts getting annoyed when he talks politics, and then rejects his sexual advances WAY more often than when they were dating. And then these women act shocked that all of a sudden her man is no longer buying her flowers, opening doors for her, saying sweet words to her, giving her back rubs, etc. I agree with you that marriage (especially the sexual relationship) is reciprocal, but sadly so many women are deluded into thinking that they contribute way more to the relationship than they actually do. A man can work overtime for three weeks straight and his wife will think that spending an extra hour to make him his favorite dinner makes them "even" in the reciprocation department. A woman has boring "obligation" sex with her man (where she does next to nothing but lay there lifeless) and all of a sudden she holds that over his head like he should be kissing her feet for a week and not ask for anything sexual for an extended period of time. If a women mops the floor her man better acknowledge it and praise her like she is superwoman, but if the man spends his entire Saturday fixing the family car then that was just his duty as man of the house and instead of praise he is likely to get an "its about time, I've been asking you to fix the noise in the car for weeks. do you even care that it could have broken down for three weeks?" Of course I am generalizing with my examples but you get the picture.

Add a reply...8 Now to the unmarried Or [widowers] and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Wow what a worldly point of view concerning sex! Getting the amount of sex you need? Talk about a manipulative message.so i guess ladies just give it up even if your body can’t respond cause your weak man will crumble. Yuck. How about getting educated enough to know it’s not all in a women’s head and there are reasons sometimes why this isn’t always a mind over matter mentality .
