I can't believe Gabs didn't clock at 2:02:58 when Becks mum 1 says Perennial Harvest hired mum 2 as their new lead researcher of Deep Engineering. That was the role of the guy in the body bag, revealed when they read the nametag! As soon as they said chemist I was like oh god, they're working for that corrupt group aren't they? And yep, my suspicion was correct. I assume they don't know of its sinister nature but god I hope nothing bad happens to them they're too precious 😭

I love how this game goes back and forth between 'normal rural preteen kida do normal rural preteen kid things and its adorable' and 'creepy spooky mystery!!!!' so seamlessly with each new path you follow hehe.

The way the BB cam makes your body fit perfectly with Luca's head during dialogue puts a silly smile on my face, not gonna lie.

About Rolo and Luka's fight, their only 11 or 12. I remember all big fights with my best friend during age 10-15, always went a bit too far word wise. But that's because we were more like sisters I called her parents my mom and dad, even though I love my own parents and are very close with them. And now my best friend 28 has a baby girl and calls me her aunt. The only people I've had tough fights like that with were family. So I feel like Rolo and Luka have more of a brother type relationship.

This REALLY reminds me of Night In The Woods, a game I love. Small town where everyone knows each other, hidden histories, hidden secrets, daaark shit in people’s backgrounds, really real moments. Not to mention the obvious, that they’re all animal characters lol. I’m hoping I end up liking this game as much as NITW

This is a really good choose your own adventure. It's WILD how many variations they have on the same day, things can get super out of hand super fast.

Omg I just finished watching both of the previous streams on Twitch and all I gotta say is "such a beautiful game". The artwork, music, characters, and of course all the stories❤️

I like that whatever the lady reads outloud somewhat reflects what's going on/what's going to happen in the story. It's an intricate story line and I love all the little details. I also really appreciate that Gran checks in with Luca when he's having a hard time but also respects his boundaries and asks him what he wants. My theory is that the Valentines were trying to develop something that would make the harvest grow quicker so they'd have more food among other things. But their experiments went wrong, their formula resulting in a goo that did quicken the aging process, but kept going until whatever organic matter it had touched was almost dead. This somehow also resulted in some sort of cold wave, causing the old Beacon Pines to be covered in snow. Mr Kerr, the Clipboards, and creepy guy are all working on the experiments. The Clipboards helped move everything and ask so many questions to ensure no one has noticed that they are in a replica town. The mayor and possibly the heiress know as well, but the knowledge settles on the Mayor like a large weight, blackmail most likely used, but for the heiress it may just be an inconvenience that she's trying to figure out how she can shut it down without it becoming public knowledge but also saving the townspeople. It might have also been in the dead Valentines will that if she told anyone that she wouldn't have any power left or perhaps she keeps quiet out of pride. Gran and her two friends she willingly shares jam with know about the experiments as well, but are trying to stop it. They don't have as much knowledge or power as their opponents, but Gran did get the heiress to cooperate with them when she had time. Perhaps the suit they borrowed allowed one of them or maybe the bat girl to enter the factory and snoop around a bit to gain information. I imagine they are looking for Luca's mother and Rolo as their main objective and stopping the entire operation as a secondary objective, a precautionary one so no one else gets stolen. I'm quite worried who that Deep Engineer was that was thrown on top of the boys in the dumpster and how they related to the town. And what's going to happen to Beck's mom since she's working with them? And Luca's dreams are a bit confusing as they are insightful. His parents weren't perfect, his "old self" had a point when he said "Everything is true here. It's just a matter of what we choose to see." Perspective is a powerful influencer on memory and belief.

Thanks god someone is covering this game, I love it so much but so few youtubers play it :(

Wow; I don't remember the last time a game made me trust absolutely nothing! And I thought the idea of "meta-gaming", going back to turn points to choose different options, was just going to be a gimmick to satisfy the curious. To actually have a very solid story function for us as players to learn the story... I'm definitely not going to watch anymore and play this for myself! Such an engaging story; and again, I trust absolutely nothing!

I love this! Oh my god this game is awesome! It felt very familiar and I couldn't put the finger on how and then I realized it has a very similar vibe as "A night in the woods" which also happens to be one of my favourite let's plays of Seàn. And it also reminds me a bit of Scarlet Hollow.

Dawn’s voice sounds so much like Cbat that I can’t think of anything else besides that post whenever she’s talking.

This game reminds me of a more solidly put-together Night in the Woods. Still cosy, but the characters are less goblinish. The plot feels a little more meaty, too.

It feels like each time Luca dreams it's a follow up to his last one. Even though the dreams happen at different points on the time lines. I wonder if PH is experimenting with time itself. That would explain the goop that ages things. And maybe it just rapidly aged the entire area into a new ice age.

**Spoilers, maybe but not exactly??** Hands down, this is is the must unique game I've played this year. The strange nostalgia, the warm colours, the shiftiness and the stereotypical small town mystery has such a good charm. I watched Gab play around an hour of this and then I simply had to buy it for a friend and for myself. I played it for five-six hours straight and I went to bed at like 3 am after finishing the game. My mind is beyond blown and this game just-- it's amazing. It reminds me of Night in the Woods, it was the first thing I thought of when I took a look at the 'cover' pic of the game. The animal characters and the colour scheme instantly made me connect it to that game which was why I instantly was like "this may not look as cute as it seems", but it still didn't prepare me for the emotional roller coaster and the plot twists which made me stop and go "whaaaa??" The writing is comfortable, whimsical and quite great not to mention the amazing voice of the narrator. I'll most likely be replaying this game again, it really was like reading a very interactive book.

I never knew that playing through a game with a protagonist with the same name as yours would feel so weird. But in a strange way it kinda made me feel even closer with the story and characters! This game was such a one of a kind, and I hope lots more people will play through it and be able to show a bigger audience just how amazing this little game is

This game is great. Played it myself awhile back, amazing character design and growth. Not to mention the story, such a unique concept with an excellent sense of storytelling, just an amazing experience.

When I first watched this, Rolo's comment about his Pa still being around, I had a moment of thats effed but resigned that they're kids, and it's all good. Then I lost my mom this year. Rewatching this, I said "leave Luka!" after the moment, and teared up. Your perspective really changes when you lose a parent. ❤
