Great to see this sport have people who are not from the UK and Ireland get far in the World Championships. Hopefully this will get more people interested from around the world.

Perhaps we will get 128 players qualifying for the world championship final stages one day as well like in a tennis grand slam. Plus a 4th triple crown type event too to become one of 4 grand slam snooker tournaments

Amazing for a player just 17 months ago Sean Murphy said is not a professional and should not even be in the building.

That’s exactly the opposite of what he said! Get your facts right! Murphy’s complaint was the opposite! Si was a professional but able to enter that competition as an amateur. This was Murphy’s problem. Oh and it’s Shaun not Sean.

@@Robc--jd6yh This is what he said, YOu get your fact right! Si was not on the professional Main Tour in 2021 but was in the previouse season. As an amateur he was still high enough to take the place of another player WHO WAS ON THE MAIN TOUR who pulled out of the competition so by right Si was allowed in the UK Championship 2021 regardless of Murphy's rant. You are just complaining for the sake of complaining over fact that I have already stated. What a Moron!

Ronnie tipped Ding around 2007 as a future world champion. He's only had 16 attempts to win the World. Only time will tell if he can keep his form.

@Sergei1847 Si has shown that he's got bottle. He can produce the goods on TV. You either have that ability or you don't. When Ronnie and Ebdon were amateurs they all feared Hamilton. Problem is Hamilton couldn't bring his A game to the TV audience stages.

when Hendrys on the table, the frame is finish. so all the opponents try to put Hendry on seat.but that was too hard during 1990s

30:33. Why is the player asked to declare when it's touching ball on the colour? They can't play into the colour, so surely they can just nominate the colour they are on and play away every time?

At 30:20 the referee called touching ball. Then Anthony is leaning on the table and looked if it is touching ball. No way he could have asked the referee for a second look for that reason.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has always been a bit mentally weak. That's why Hendry won his 7 titles far quicker. Went missing several years. After losing he admitted he just wanted to be out running and being home. He's often looking for a way out. Despite everything, he's definitely an under achiever.

That was BS clickbait media headline taken out of context, that you're repeating. Murphy was one of many professional players in a tournament, trying to earn a living. He, and other professionals agreed, that tournaments shouldn't allow amateurs in willy-nilly, because it's not a sustainable living (for some pros) when they beat you. He never said he wasn't good enough to be in the competition, actually the opposite, just shouldn't be entering as an amateur. Stop spreading lies.

He actually has to win this year to beat Hendry as the youngest world champion, aged 21 years and 106 days. Although I don't know what 2 records you mean? Si winning this year, then O'Sullivan winning the 8th next year? O'Sullivan might not even turn up, like he didn't at the end versus Brecel.

Im just thinking if this chinese sensation gets to the final and selby comes through his match with Allen then selby probably would revert to gamesmanship like he has done in the past, purposely playing slowly and that would probably put Si off like it did to junhui. Dont wanna see that crap

Ronnie was poor against Brecel and Brecal might have peaked too early. Every player usually has a bad match, Si had his and so has McGill.

Have you missed Brecel's two previous sessions against O'Sullivan? He trailed 10-6 even though Sullivan played poor. But, it does not even matter really, Brecel or Si will lose in the final to Allen or Selby
