We are finally heading to Coober Pedy but it means we have to leave the beautiful West MacDonnell Rangers. The Episode we head south out of the NT towards #cooberpedy. First we have a quick overnighter at the most amazing campsite just out of Alice Springs.
We finally make it to Coober Pedy and wow what a town. This little town has so much to offer and most of it FREE!!

Hey mate 😊 thanks for watching. Coober Pedy is a very well known Opal mining town that has a lot to offer that’s for sure. Majority of the occupants that live there have tried to strike it rich and some still do. It’s one of those places that not everyone would enjoy but we love embracing ourselves into the unknown and just got amongst it. We had a ball and the kids really enjoyed it 😊 glad you enjoyed it as well 🤙

Great place and it's fantastic following your adventures, when you were at Moon Plain poking your finger in the dirt my heart skipped a beat….. Moon Plains is know for have the highest population of Australians and the worlds most deadliest snake the Inland Tiapan, the Inland Tiapan lives in the cracks and soft soil, it's the number one location researchers go to study them.

Thanks mate ah yes the inland taipan I actually thought about this after we left and was like yea probably wasn’t the best idea 🤣🤣 We’ve been fascinated with them since Miller wilson did a video on them 🫣 I love them but can say would of run like I was on the moon if I saw one 🤣 I’m glad I was able to still get this episode out with all my fingers in tact, sorry for the heart attack moment thanks for watching appreciate the support 🤙

Sounds like you have one hell of an epic trip coming up mate 🤟 So our trip through central oz and this whole series was between April through to the end of may. We didn’t really have many issues with flies but on the Oodnadatta they were pretty thick but at night they are no issue. Coober Pedy has plenty of options to stay in an underground motel so you’ll be fine there and actually the flies were not too bad you do learn to be able to tolerate them as well. This time of year we went the heat was perfect and the nights were not too cold. Yes please be croc wise once you hit the top end there’s plenty of signs but never take you’re eye off the water and always treat it like there’s one right there. The pizza was priced ok was about $32 dollars for the big size which was 18inch it was nice but wasn’t the best pizza we have had, the kids were more excited about just having a large pizza hehe

I think by youre itinerary you seem to have a lot covered and by the sounds of it you’re going to have an absolute ball mate. If you try and pack too much in you’ll have no time to just sit back and take in those moments. Uluṟu be sure to get up for the sunrise at the sunrise lookout it’s epic 🤟 and if you love walking kings canyon is incredible.

We did Europe many years ago before we had kids and the Scottish highlands was like a post card was incredible but yes can be cold as well, we also stopped by Dubai on the way home and that place is so hot literally felt like you had a heater on you’re face on full the whole time we were there.
