Linsanity was so special. Dude continues to be one of the most humble players. He got to experience every aspect of life in the NBA, from nobody to superstar, even if it was for a short while. And he's got a damn Harvard education. He owes nobody anything.

I was rooting for Lin, man-as I'm sure quite a few people were. I'm glad he's still playing, but after Linsanity was treated like a fart in the wind, I saw the beginning of the end. Given his age and the far better young talent in the league today, unfortunately he'll never see another NBA minute

REgarding Barros, I think it's worth mentioning that his 46% was during one of the 3 years the NBA moved the 3pt line in pretty significantly from 23.9 ft to 22 ft in 1994-95, 95-96 and 96-97. If you look at some of the 3 pt numbers from that era, they are pretty skewed. He still was a hell of a player and had a more than respectable career in the NBA.

Interesting that you didn't mention what killed Evan's career which was getting banned for 2 years for smoking Weed (i think) and then basically getting shadowbanned by the league. Without that he was probably the closest to living up to his potential. Just the year before getting banned he averaged 19 and 5 on the Grizzlies after finally playing as a Point Guard. Yeah he's not becoming a superstar but i can see him going in that Jamal Crawford,Lou Williams,Mike Conley tier of one of the best to not make the All Stars

I remember wanting to see more of Lin before he finally got his chance on a team that was floundering. I figured he could at least play some opportunistic defence and run the pick and roll, though I felt his biggest perk was not being Ray Felton. I figured he was a good, under-utilized player. In the end, that’s what he was. He wasn’t Linsanity, but he was a solid, serviceable player.

Tyreke Evans doesn't really belong on this list. I get that when a rookie averages 20-6-6 you don't expect him to end up being just a slightly above average Starter but out of 10 seasons in the league he averaged 15 or above in 7 of them. So being between 15-20 for most of your career (while largely playing out of position and even averaging 19 and 20 respectively whenever you actually play in your proper position) is hardly a one hit wonder. Same for Guys like Andrew Bynum and Roy Hibbert. Those guys don't really belong on the same list as guys like Aaron Brooks,Jeremy Lin and Carter Williams
@damarbobb4439
@damarbobb4439 7 ай бұрын
I was looking for this. Hibbert was a multiple time allstar and several all defense selections. If he enters the league 5 years earlier, he has a looonngg career. Bynum wasn’t interested in playing anymore and Reke had a long layoff but still was Uber productive.
