Interesting, that you actually climb with a jet lag. I wouldnt dare to climb with 2-3 hours of sleep, I think my reflexes would be too bad - risk of injury

Haha day 1 for me was actually the day after I arrived so I got 11 hours the night before 😅

What's the idea behind about training at 110% max load with assistance?

That’s power training. I need the assistance because it’s 110% of my 1 Rep max so I shouldn’t be able to do it on my own. I start at 100% a couple weeks out of the event and increment the weight up little by little. As we get closer to the event, I’m still doing the exercises with assistance but I’m able to pull more weight. My spotter should theoretically be helping the same amount they do at 102% as they do at 110%. The reason I do it with assistance instead of just overloading the weight and letting myself fail is for the purpose of training power. I want to keep pulling up at a constant rate, and stalling or failing doesn’t help get the muscles firing.
