Kills me how they say “Having a baby will ruin my life,” like murdering the mother and going to prison for life won’t do the same. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So sad.

When someone shows you they’re not really interested in you, believe them and walk away.

The thing is. He didn’t even pretend to hide his disdain for her. So sad she was too young to not see this and see that he was only using her.

1) Children don’t tell their parents “everything”. 2) Parents educate your sons and daughters on how to build and nurture self-esteem and how to behave and what to expect in a healthy relationship.

Poor girl, she was chasing after the wrong thing in college. Chase after your education ladies, not these clowns.

The message here is "if someone does not want you, leave them alone" You can never coerce someone into loving you.

Just the fact she thought her belly would be changing that early in pregnancy shows how naive, obsessed and sadly maybe delusional she was. So sad.

Poor girl was delusional but should not be killed for it. She had so much people who love her it’s a pity there was no intervention.

I was 25 years old when I lost my 24 year old best friend - who had been honorabley discharged from the Air Force and was on track to become an air traffic controller - to a jealous, crazed ex-boyfriend. He did unspeakable things to her and then choked her to death. His parents had money so he received a 5 year sentence. No justice at all. *It's good that this young man got a life sentence and her family got some level of justice.*

Unfortunately, she didnt want to accept that he wasn't interested. If they say it, act it, you need to believe it.

You can’t force someone to be with you. Pay attention to their actions, they speak louder then their words. 💔

if they don’t show interest in meeting your family or friends, let alone just being with you….that’s the biggest sign for you to run.

If she thinks she is pregnant, why the hell is she drinking so much. This girl had serious issues that I don't think her friends and parents wanted to admit.

She seemed to be delusional about and obsessed with a guy that never wanted anything more than a friend with benefits. Killing her made no sense. He knew he couldn't get away with it. Obviously a mental case.

So sad. I immediately said “ she was pregnant “ when they mentioned he didn’t have any history of violence. Idk if she was really pregnant at one point or not . However, I’ve learned from these crime shows that it’s best to leave men alone once they make it clear that they want nothing to do with you or the baby. This is so depressingly tragic. As a viewer - I, even felt suffocated by Ally. She was beyond OBSESSED. It’s clear, they both suffered mentally. Their lives intersecting, was unfortunately the perfect storm for disaster.

Two toxic people coming together can never end well. She had a toxic view on relationships, and he had a very dark toxicity.

Trying to trap a boy with an unwanted pregnancy who clearly doesn’t want you and makes it clear to taunting him with “maybe” prego tests and belly shots could be the dumbest thing she could have done! He should have just left that girl alone he would have a life and she wouldn’t be dead

i feel like Ally’s home life contributed to how attached she was to him. usually people in households with emotional unavailability cause attachment issues later in life. not only that, if this was her first “relationship”, she obviously wouldn’t have known how to act or how to take it, and since she was new to things like this, she would immediately assume they were serious. i personally believe that her environment and upbringing played a major factor in how she perceived the relationship to be, and also may be mentally unwell, considering the amount of times he told ally that it wasn’t a serious relationship. i’m not defending him at all, however these are just things to keep in mind.

I’m wondering if Ally had ever been in a serious relationship before…? She goes so hard for someone who clearly doesn’t give a crap about her.

First time I’ve ever liked the defense attorney. He was well spoken and seemed respectful of the victim. My prayers go out to both sets of parents.

It was a red flag to me when I heard that one of her big reasons for going to college was to meet someone and “get married and have kids.” I don’t know why that’s so odd to me. Maybe it’s because when I went to college it definitely wasn’t to meet a man. It was to get an education so I didn’t need to rely on a man. So that I could be successful on my own. Yes, I wanted to get married someday, but way after college. Hearing that, I wasn’t surprised she became so obsessive about the first guy she met. He clearly was t interested but she manipulated him, harassed him and lied to him. She pushed him to his limit and he snapped in an alcohol, cocaine induced rage. Did she deserve it? Absolutely not. But he isn’t some psychopath. This is tragic story all around. I have no idea how her parents aren’t mortified. No wonder they don’t want to read all the texts. I bet her behavior is way worse than they just showed here.

She played a dangerous game with him that went real bad. Don’t play with people, you never know how unstable they really are.

I have a hard time believing she was actually pregnant given her farfetched claims of drinking a full bottle of tequila, 7 beers, wine, etc. Regardless, such a sad case and a waste of lives.

Unfortunately, she crossed paths with someone who was much worse off than her. It's so sad and why I maintain that you are not an adult until your late 20's.

I'm truly sorry for the victim and especially her parents. However, it also needs to be said that Ally was manipulative, dishonest, reckless, and I think it's fair to say obsessive. She did NOT deserve what happened, but she did assemble all the pieces to an evil machine that turned on her and destroyed her. For goodness sake, just walk away!

I think it was fully premeditated. He avoided her completely until he got the gun, then took her to a remote location. He drank until he had the courage to get the firearm and then he shot her. The number of times he shot her shows the rage he had against her. RIP, Ally, you didn't deserve this. My heart breaks for her family and friends.

Two things never to do: tell your husband he’ll never see the kids again when you want a divorce, and telling a guy you’re pregnant when you aren’t.

Tragic case. I’m sorry she didn’t realize earlier in the relationship he wasn’t worthy of her and had moved on. His license plate summed up his attitude perfectly.

I used to be like Ally. I never had a example of a healthy relationship with a narcissistic father who just insulted me and my mother. I took every crumb of affection from boys/men as love and was in very depressing dynamics like this story. Eventually I met a very special person who was somehow able to show me I was worthy of being treated better and I got in a healthy relationship after that.

Everything the letter from the guy's family says... so so so very well written.

She was completely naive and it's utterly devastating. I really feel for both parents. You feel so helpless in a situation like that.

What’s so frustrating about this case is if EITHER of these kids had told their parents about the situation, it’s almost certain they could have resolved it all. Particularly Brandon’s mother. If her letter is any indication of who she is as a human being, even just telling her about it could have led to a much different ending.

The parents are in denial if they think their kid isn't off to college, going out, drinking, and having sex.

This young man used this young woman for as long as it was convenient and when he no longer wanted anything to do with her, out of desperation she used the pregnancy scam to try to keep him in her life. The saddest part is, he never really was in her life … he never was even interested in meeting her friends. What a horrible loss of two young lives and the tremendous loss that both of their families will feel forever.

Kids, don't get hooked on anyone, when you are that young. Have fun. Date. ENJOY YOUR LIFE. Make memories with your family and friends. When you find the one, you will know it. You won't have to force them to invest in you or the relationship . They will be there. When its Real Love, it will be reciprocated. They'll give you as much as you give them. In GENUINE care, emotions and actions.

It annoyed me that the mom says "oh she tells me everything" but doesn't want to know what was really going on in her daughter's life by reading her texts. Her mom's parenting style is probably why she was ill-prepared for college life. Two people that were about as mismatched as two people could be. Girls/women, think more of yourselves than marriage being your end all/be all in life. This woman tried to manipulate a man into marrying her and paid with her life, unfortunately.

Ally was lonely and desperate which clouded her judgement. Brandon knew she was vulnerable, used her and then felt cornered. So sad for all involved.

Wow...she really held him hostage using the threat of pregnancy as a weapon. Apparently, she couldn't accept that he was just not that in to her. Very sad for the families.

It is so sad that Alley, for whatever reason, wanted so badly to be with this monster that she was so obsessed with trying to find a way to get him to want her as much as she wanted him. Pregnancy will never make someone want you or make someone love you yet there are so many young women who thinks it will. It is sad that she did not know her own worth.

I am going to say something here, that is going to be very unpopular. And most likely, will be taken wrong by some. First off, she did not deserve to be violently taken from this world by anyone. I always advocate for women, and girls, to be heard and to be able to be safe in their everyday lives. BUT, in my opinion, she seemed very obsessed with him. She was WAY into him. He did not reciprocate those feelings back to her, at least not in the text conversations. She honestly was riding the line of stalker-ish behavior. This girl seemed very smart, well educated. Someone who also seemed to care a lot for those closest to her. I do not believe that she was pregnant at all. I think it was a ruse to keep him in her life. He was slipping away from her, and she had to pull something off to keep him close to her. There is no way she would conaume alcohol if she were truly pregnant. No way. And her constantly making remarks about the home pregnancy tests, and not being able to possibly hide her belly.....well, it drove him crazy. No, he shouldn't have taken hwr life. Its qrong on every level. It's too bad, that he didn't feel safe or comfortable enough to come to his parents about this issue that he seemed to be struggling with. Im sure they would have advised him in an appropriate way. So many lives ruined here. And a young lady, who is gone forever, over something that may or may have not even been true at all.
