I've sourced the bucket package parts separately from Canadian suppliers and the price came down very similar to OG in the end. The dollies come with smaller casters, so if you want the better casters that come with the OG kit, it's another separate extra. People also forget the time it takes to research all of these parts. Time is money.

I do like my Lake Country Pad Washer 4000. It took me a bit to pony up for one. I have multiple pads, but I clean the pad and put it aside and grab a clean one. I do a lot of greasy and nasty work. I find Scrub Ninjas from Autofiber as a vital tool to clean the interior. Gentle but effective on vinyl and plastic interior parts. Also work well on fabric. I would like to see you try Dr. Beasley's Nano Surface Primer System. I have bought the kit and tried it on a fender of a beater truck I just got rid of. I used CarPro's SiC coating on top. The claim made is that 8 oz tube is equivalent to a 32 oz bottle. Also removes the need for a panel prep, since it is a coating primer. I like watching EC Details channel, too. Since he tends to have a similar weather pattern as I do. Maybe, you should do this with EC, he tests a lot of products also.

EC Details (Eddie) is a good dude and I could see him and Matt having an entertaining conversation, but Joey Balinski would probably need to sit that one out. I like him, but Joey seems to have a severe case of MMDS (Matt Moreman Derangement Syndrome). He seems to get visibly angry every time OG or Matt gets brought up. It's unfortunate, as I think he's missing out.

Hey Matt, Rick, I've had good luck with Nanolex Ultra Glass sealant. Doesn't change the appearance of the glass. It's been on since 10,000 miles and through Canadian winter, still repels water like day 1. They claim 18,000 miles durability. I'm obsessed with not using wipers as well, but the girlfriend takes the car about half the time and it definitely sees some wiper action.

For glass: I've been using Apex Surface protection BC5 topped with BC4 and couldn't be happier. It seems to last forever, especially on my wife's Lexus that has automatic wipers that go crazy. Glass is an odd surface. Once it gets exposed to an enormous amount of abuse, you can't get it back to "like new". Soft99 has replaced other products I've been using. There is no magic beans and fairydust. If one product works on a particular piece of glass, just about everything will and vice versa.

Do you already have an insanely slick surface? AMPLIFY definitely adds a ton of slickness, that’s why it’s so popular. Try using a bit more if you used it as a drying aid, or use it dry. It will add very good slickness.

Several redundancies in this master collection. No one needs 3 different 15mm da polishers or 3-4 different cutting compounds, 2 different ph neutral soaps, 2 panel wipes of all things. Your/OG Master Collection should 1 product for that particular category that OG believes to be the best.

I don't understand the confusion with rinseless. The entire wash process can be the same as standard soap: wheels, touchless, pressure wash, presoak with rinseless; but where the time saving comes in is no second foam, no two buckets, no rinse of soap. You're getting 99% of dirt off a coated car with Touchless such that a rinseless contact wash is more than enough. And you're cutting out steps
@Stainlessautos
@Stainlessautos 4 ай бұрын
People just like the visual comfort that soap gives. It’s not worth the fight cousin. Im totally with you on this, I prefer rinseless to cut down on the excess foam runoff that pisses the neighbors off.
@motiOn732
@motiOn732 4 ай бұрын
@@Stainlessautos it just saves so much time. Granted the process I outlined applies best to coated cars where Touchless will quite literally remove 99% of dirt. I go around with one microfiber soaked in ONR after Touchless is rinsed and it's barely dirty. This is in the middle of winter with salt and all the other crap on the roads.
@timkinley1779
@timkinley1779 4 ай бұрын
@@motiOn732 But here in the south, we don't see road salts or have cold weather dictate our process.

@@timkinley1779 more to my point then. Touchless will get your car that much cleaner before you touch your paint with a towel or mitt.
@timkinley1779
@timkinley1779 4 ай бұрын
@@motiOn732 I kinda get it. But the gunk that builds behind body cladding, emblems, glass surrounds, wheel barrels and grills, needs a level of attention, that gets omitted with touchless. For me, the effort required isn't as important as the result I'm looking for. Using gallons of water isn't a luxury. It's part of my process.

@@ObsessedGarageI think you're going to like it. Super easy install, it disappears into the glass and there is practically nothing to wipe off. Has been holding up well, even to my wife's excessive wiper usage. Reinstall is very simple too. Just make sure you use the Diamond Glass Prep spray, it's very specific to that coating, there's actually some nano diamonds in the prep spray. I really like it and will continue to use it, but I'm also going to try CCI Glass. It's a $150 coating, but lasts 2+ years even on windshields. Very easy install on that one too. You can either wipe it off after 15 minutes, or 12 hours. It also pretty much disappears down into the glass.

I completely understand your and Rick's preference for traditional soap washing, but I think both of you might be missing the fundamental aspect of true rinseless washing...a pressure washer to do all of the same steps prior to the contact wash when required/desired. I believe you're looking at it from the standpoint of waterless washing, where you don't have a hose available. Yes, a rinseless wash can sometimes be done safely without free flowing water, but that is generally only on a lightly dirty vehicle. No one would ever look at the conditions that Rick's vehicle sees and honestly suggest he should do a rinseless wash without a pressure washer. With a very dirty vehicle, I look at rinseless as a "soap replacement" for the contact wash stage only. All of the prewash steps are still done with the appropriate prewash chemicals and a pressure washer. Wheels get washed the same way as you guys do, and all the cracks and crevices get blown out just the same. Now you might say, "what's the point, you have everything out anyways, why not just use soap?" In the warmer months, I sometimes do. But I always get full of suds when I'm up on a step to get the roof of my SUV, and I'm always rushing/stressing because I have hard water and little to no shade. And then with winter making bucket washing outside impossible/unpleasant for 6 months of the year... rinseless has been key for me. For the reasons mentioned above, I do most of my washing in the garage. I don't have the floor drain system that Rick does (at least not yet), and I don't have A/C or dehumidification like Matt...so I like to minimize how much water I'm using inside the garage. I generally do the wheels and fender wells first with the pressure washer. That amount of water in the garage is no big deal, even during the winter. Then I pull the car out into the driveway for a snow foam prewash and full pressure washing. In the winter, with my southern exposure and hot water supply to the wall mount pressure washer in the heated garage, as long as it is sunny and above 10F I can do it safely without creating a skating rink. If it's extra cold outside, I will apply diluted APC or Touch-Less type product with a pump sprayer and pressure wash inside if I have to. When the prewash stage is done, I have a mostly clean vehicle that is ready for a safe contact wash with a bucket of rinseless, and finish up with a drying towel. In the summer, I finish my prewash stage by applying rinseless with a foam cannon and then backing my vehicle back into the shade of the garage. This "neutralizes" any hard water on the surface and buys me time so I don't have to rush and stress to avoid hard water spots. Even if I do a soap wash, I still spray it down with rinseless afterwards and dry in the garage. This gives me the safety of drying with the lubrication of rinseless, without masking my coating with SIO2 drying aids/toppers. I like to leave my coatings to do their job, and see how they are performing without putting an inferior form of protection on top that doesn't have the same hydrophobics or self cleaning properties. Again, this method isn't going to be for everyone...but it has been perfect for me in my situation. I just get a little fired up when people dismiss it out of hand without understanding that you can still use a pressure washer and do a true/safe rinseless wash.
