As someone who had that tragic accident with a dog please be extra mindful now that you know it's a possibility. Not in a million years would I have thought that it would have happened to me, my dog, a 60 lb australian shepard mix, had grown up around our pool for 10+ years. He occasionally swam with us in the summer and knew somewhat where to get in and out but for whatever reason when he fell in he could not get himself out this time. We have cameras in our yard (it does alert to movement but since we were in and out and knew he was moving around out there just hangout the alerts were not on our radar) so we were able to look back and see how it unfolded and the devastation, he just mis-stepped on the pool deck that he has walked across thousands of times in his life and slipped right in. I was just about 50 feet away with our patio door open and didn't hear a splash or anything. He tried to swim and then just couldn't anymore, the whole thing happened in under 3 minutes. We pulled him out and tried CPR and anything we could think of but he was already gone. I hope my tragedy helps to be someone else's lesson.

Shirley here. We have a black rod iron fence around out pool, about 4 feet. I hate those inclosed fences that people who live in florida have around the pool because of alligators it ruins the landscaping.

You can get an alarm that makes a horrendous noise when something or someone falls in the pool, I wish I had one when my Pomeranian fell in and drowned.

Hey Guys! Happy hump day! Good luck to the girls this weekend at Summit! Aww poor Piper! I am glad she is okay! My sister got a cute ragdoll kitten and named him Loki! Her previous cat, which was also a ragdoll had to be put down a few weeks ago😢

Hampton and his reviews he is too cute with them Poor Piper I’m glad she’s OK but it could’ve been worse like you said yes definitely gonna have to keep an extra eye on her and maybe yes you should get like offense to fence off that area so she doesn’t accidentally go in there again

God sent his only son to die for u so live for Him (not trying to force) Gods got u and is in ur corner always, fighting for u, and the best way for u to fight is on your knees, praying. Bruhh he's clearly autistic. If you've never been around an autistic child, then hush. My little brother is Autistic. My family rodeos. HE HAS HIS OWN HORSE IN THE BARN. My parents even teach riding lessons. He ONLY rides when he wants. You can't make them do things if they don't want. They're very honest.
