Have to say, Delhi has some nice sized apartments, with lots of storage! Though I'm not sure how happy I'd be sharing such close quarters with my parents, but I guess that's pretty normal over there. Sure would love to try some of the food they were raving about!

Everyone says "the table that absolutely no one uses" i can relate. We actually got rid of our dining table n chairs set in our condo recently and it gave us tons more room. We use foldable snack tables to eat on now. Its kind of sad but the days of everyone being on the same schedule n being able to sit down together at the same time every day for meals are gone. Kids have so many activites..work schedules vary greatly n usually both parents work sometimes on 2 totally different schedules instead of the standard 9-5. I really like this channel. Love from the US.

Two things that are common in these 3 households, 1, they don't use dining tables, and they live with their parents at an old age.
@harshitabhuyan8892
@harshitabhuyan8892 2 жыл бұрын
It's pretty common actually. Indian culture is very family oriented. You can be going to university or doing a job and be completely financially independent and yet live with your parents in India, it's not a question of whether you can afford your own place, it's a question of who will take care of our aging parents if we don't? I mean that's the mentality of most young people living with their parents in india. It's a tradition and often a very sentimental thing to do. It's like our parents took care of us, financially supported us and sacrificed so much when we were young so a lot of children feel when they start earning it's their turn to give back. But having said that a lot of Indians do live alone nowadays as we have to move away for uni or work or just prefer to live separately and have some privacy but still we make sure our parents are well taken care of and we often visit in holidays and send money home.
