What Are Super PACs And How Do They Impact Elections? | Defined | Forbes

Political campaigns can cost a lot of money and require support from outside sources. One way campaigns get their money is through political action committees. The largest PACs, that are able to give unlimited amounts of money to candidates, are called Super PACs. Legally independent from the candidate, these committees attract money from donors who are interested in supporting particular candidates who they think will shape the country the way they want. But what impact do these organizations have on the democratic process?

should be illegal. violates bribery laws when 2 laws contradict not always 1 would win or the other. super pac law directly contradicts other laws so it may not always win. its bribery. the ultra rich money launderers from a mexico should not have the right to influence usa politics through bribes. this extends to election processes. violates the essence spirit and morale of bribery law.

Hey Chison, a bunch of friends with African origins have asked me to form an ‘African African’ Super PAC to support Kamala Harris. This large group is comprised of American citizens who still consider themselves more of African than American in various aspects. We tend to feel better and fully defined when referred to as DIASPORA AFRICANS, AFRICAN AFRICANS, or AMERICAN AFRICANS. Please advise

I find it both insulting and embarrassing that voters are swayed by advertising so much. Decisions should be based on what the candidates say and do and not the quantity and 'glitz' of ad campaigns.

No, all political voices are not supposed to be equal even though you may state that it's so. By what measure? Where is this said? In the Constitution? No. But Citizens United say unions are allowed to spend and corporations are allowed. Fair as can be. And there is no rule preventing more small donors from giving, not Citizens United or any other law or ruling.. They simply don't care.
