What are the changes in Tam-Awan Village after about 15 years?

Tam-Awan is one of Baguio's popular art, culture and nature hub that showcases the talent of artists in the Cordillera region, which is located in the northern part of the Philippines. But as a tourist who came here more than a decade ago, I saw so many changes in this village. Join me in revisiting and reminiscing in this tourist spot.
Tickets for regular adults cost Php60. I'm glad they did not raise hikes 🙂

Like the saying goes, The Only Constant Thing in Life is Change. As we grow older, things around us takes different looks. The most important thing is that you visited your town/village and was still able to recognize some things. Nice one.

Well, not really, if you wear the right clothes lol. I should have been warned beforehand! 🤣🤣🤣 The hiking trail was a struggle because I was wearing tight-fitting jeans 😢 No to jeans when in Baguio again 😂😂😂

This place holds a lot of memories for you and it’s amazing development took place that probably made a lot to have changed. I mean 10-15years it’s a whole lot of time .

Yeah! My friend told me that they have to renovate the place because there were landslides in the past typhoons. I got sad that it looked a little quieter except for that panic-striken hike 🤣

Tam-awan actually means "vantage point" in the Cordilleran dialect. Forgot to include that in the video 😅 Well, it's a cultural space created for artists. I guess I mentioned that at the start 😆

Lol, you got more than you bargained for with that hike!! 😅 But thank you for sharing with us, what a neat place! ..i thought I'd mention that there is a food truck that stays parked across the street from my apartment, called the Nipa Hut! I'm not sure how authentic the food is, considering I've never been to the Philippines, but i thought it was interesting, in such a tiny little Oregon town. Anyway, awesome video, thanks for sharing! 👍😊👍

I hope they're authentic, especially if they got meals like adobo, lechon and halo-halo 😁 My friend, who's from the US, told me that there are many Filipino food stalls and it would be interesting to check 'em out should I get the chance to be in the US 🙏 Really thankful you got to watch this, too 🤗💕

Yeah! Hopefully not because there a lot of tress around that group of galleries. I have this feeling they would replace these paintings after a certain amount of time (maybe someone would buy them 😁). Next time I come back, I'll make sure to wear the right set of hiking clothes 😆

Wow, it's amazing to see how Tam-Awan Village has changed after 15 years! I'm curious to hear about the specific changes you noticed. Was it mostly development, or did the overall vibe of the village change as well?

It's more on being more crowded as I've mentioned. 🙂 I don't know, I find it quite crampy. Like, I find the space for cultural dances was too small compared to before. Another thing I've said in the video is the addition of more art galleries. A lot of things can really happen in a place that you don't get to visit in a while 🥲

Ate!! Yung tawa ko sa pagkapayat ko! HAHAHAHA! Laking tulong ng bundok, pero yun lang wrong clothes ang suot ko doon lol 🤣🤣🤣 Siguro nasikipan ako sa layout unlike before. I remember there were cultural dances pa nga pagpunta namin tapos medyo wide yung space para sa mga performers. Although, Lans said that the landscape of Tam-awan did change lalo na nung nagkalandslide noon dahil sa past storms...ang sad lang. But at least they're still there ☺️
