Hey mate great vid, just curious as to what you think is optimal in terms of timing / gearing for this motor, and the process you’d go about determining it? Thanks :)

It will wildly very on ambient temperature. Say 24-27C, 48 degrees with an 85 spur and 47 pinion works quite well. I would play with spurs from 83-86 and pinions from 47-50. See what the temps are and gear up or down.

@@Emilioalessio12 I would say. Although, these can take heat. I have consistently gotten it to 78C with no fade. Probably not a good idea. But is you miss a gear by a tooth or so, you should be five for a race.

Okay thanks again, I’m in that ballpark. Generally I hit about 60c. I’ll try bigger pinions if anything. what consideration would you make regarding advancing timing vs taller gearing, or is around 48 degrees the sweet spot.
