Bill. Very good basic info. for homeowners with septic's or will be owning a home with a septic system. I find another problem when called out to a home with a septic tank, that is having drainage issues with fixtures, is one there is no clean out, and two they do not know where their septic tank is or where the leach field runs. Maybe in future videos take a moment to stress the importance of knowing these things. It's saves time and money. Thank you.

now that was great...but....how do you fix it?

Hi John - The remedy would depend on the current health of the system. These warning signs are symptoms to alert you that it is time to investigate why they are occurring. You may need a minor repair, or cleaning of the leach lines, or there could be a more serious problem.

Where I live they stopped hydro jetting the laterals probably to make more money replacing the entire system.

I have an issue with my toilets but for some reason thats the only thing causing symptoms. If one toilet gets stuck and the water goes for a few hours and then i flush the other toilet it floods through the bottom of the toilet. Its so weird! I have no issues doing like 6 loads of laundry in a row or taking a long shower right after someone else. Any idea what this could be? I'm super poor so 300 dollars to have my septic tank drained is a 4-5 month process to pay off and I would rather avoid it if its actually a clog somewhere in my house or something. I have no wet dirt or anything (and I'm in florida where it rains a LOT so i would guess i'd get this symptom super fast). When I called the first septic company they pretty much said over the phone based on my symptoms i need a new drain field...

How do I fix the problem? Spend thousands of dollars having it dug up and replaced?
@billrodenhiser51159 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony - In order to fix the problem we would need to know exactly what is going on. You can call us directly to discuss what you are experiencing and the possible causes for free. If you decide that you would like a technician to come out to take a look at the situation and recommend an appropriate action we can set up a service appointment for you. Unfortunately, sometimes the system is in such bad shape that the only recourse is to replace it. System replacement starts with the design of engineered plans. Once plans are approved we can then provide you with a quote for installation of the approved system. If an inspection reveals a problem that is able to be fixed we would file a permit application with the Board of Health and once the permit is approved we can schedule it.

That’s why you have a dry well and not leech lines

Don't be scammed by septic "professionals" who insist that you need to spend megabucks on a new system. More often than not, simply hydrojetting the laterals will fix a slow-draining system.

@@00BAAMim having what seem to be septic issues. Sand mound has very wet spot i think its from slow draining so its soaking at the surface. I havnt had any plumbing issues inside the house thank God. Did you have a similar issue ? And has the jetting sped up draining and dried out field ?
