awesome, as a Syrian I'm also really interested in mastering tunisian Arabic. It's one of my favourite dialects :) I hope there will be also Algerian and Moroccan teams in the future!

In Tunisia, we say “a hafna” refers to a small quantity, and “a hafna” is a word by which we mean the amount of something that is shown in the palm of the hand or handful. Except in one case, the word "hafna" becomes "barsha". I'll give you an example. When a person puts a large amount of almonds or nuts in tea, we say that this person puts almonds by the "hafna", and here we mean that he puts large amounts of almonds because he is supposed to put a small amount.

This is great content. I'm looking for more entertaining stuff in tunisian arabic. Does anybody know any good tunisian youtubers? Or maybe tunisian shows and movies that don't contain any sexual content?

How similar is Tunisian Arabic to Egyptian Arabic? Which I know is the “standard” Arabic.
@MN-pj4uu
@MN-pj4uu 7 ай бұрын
Egyptian isn't Standard Arabic or Fusha it's just that everyone understands the Eygptian dialect because media and exposure etc. The Tunisian dialect is different from Egyptian and is more like maghrebi Dialects like Algerian and Moroccan.

@@MN-pj4uu interesting. So is Egyptian dialect what an Arabic learner should go for ?
@MN-pj4uu
@MN-pj4uu 7 ай бұрын
@@EphemeralProductionsDepends on why you want to learn Arabic if you just want to be understood by most Arabs then yeah the Egyptian dialect is good but if you're emigrating to a specific country then learn the dialect of that country.

@@MN-pj4uu k. Yeah I just want to be understood by most so I will stick with Egyptian. :)

@@EphemeralProductions This is not how things work. If you want everyone to understand you, you have to speak classical Arabic, but the Egyptian dialect is not understood by all Arabs. In the past, Egyptian soap operas were watched by Arabs and through them they learned the dialect, but today the new generations do not understand the Egyptian dialect and are not interested in it, so young people will find it difficult to understand you, and for this reason I advise you to follow classical Arabic.
