Thanks for sharing your knowledge. My friend bought a used toyota echo for cheap. It shakes upon inital acceleration, but is fine when it's up to speed *above 50mph* and my coworkers suspect it's the timing chain being off in the low end.

Hi Doc, please help. I just replaced my chain on the 1zz and it restored the power n throttle response. A day later, the power is lagging n i have to double tap the accelerator to get it going... what could be the problem? My electronics like spark plugs n coil plugs are all new - please help
