Claire, i can perfectly relate to your fear of attachment to friends, something i am struggling with but slowly working on it.

This episode gave me something to ponder on that I have not thought about in a very long time. What am I afraid of? My fears are not necessarily obvious but they manifest themselves as insecurities and anxiety in different life situations. so, I am afraid of depending on anybody for my survival, probably something that stems from hyper independence and fear of lacking. I am also afraid of not doing as well as what is 'required' from me say in the workplace or reaching my full potential probably because I am insecure in some areas, if that makes sense.

Hahahaha Claire, about that lady who had something to say about Fiona being single , I would also be irritated on Fiona's behalf but I also like the fact that she spoke her mind without being disrespectful.

This is such a powerful episode and reminder! Fear is an important feedback tool but it can become disabling if not well managed. I am proud to say that in 2023 I, started to do what @Prim said where I have little meetings with myself and ask "what's the worst that could happen", and "how will I manage it if it does?". This approach has increased the intention that I move through life with, and I plan to continue on in that way. Also, related to @Fionas point about meditation, I saw a book called "The Garden Within" by Dr. Anita Phillips where she talks about the role of our vagus nerve in our wellness, and I seem to think meditation, mindfulness etc. helps with that. @Claire thanks for sharing your vantage point from a mum! Your compassionate words are helpful to both people who are parents and those who may be re-parenting and rebuilding themselves. My fear is the same as Claires friendships and also as a first born yes Prim first born niwe ajumika eka and this has been a struggle of mine since I could understand, has caused me alot of struggles as well. But thank you guys for sharing. Its quite helpful in helping one recognise where the issue is , which then helps to start the journey of consciously dealing with it.
