Yvonne, I would write it “Risey” because the verb is RISE, to RISE. The “e” on the end of “rise” gives the “I” the long vowel sound (meaning the vowel says it’s own name). “Risy” would be mistakenly be pronounced to rhyme with “dizzy” or “busy”. English is so irregular! By the way, you do have excellent English!

@@bloomingaccents Do you know the cost of boarding horses, food, treats, training, veterinary care , dental care, shoeing horses, and everything else that goes into keeping these wonderful animals? Rein did say Rising Star JK and Queen Uniek could stay at Stal G. I am sure he treats Yvonne and all who volunteer at Stal G Very Well

My older sister worked for a horse stable near Kansas City Missouri USA they bred, trained & sold (quarter-horses)these were for working cattle, and pleasure riding. The stable owner had a sign inside the stable that read if i catch you mistreating any animal on this ranch, you will be fired on the spot, no more job!

Poor Uniek suffers from mud fever, as Yvonne has explained in past videos, that is why she itches so much. It is a bacteria in the environment, the only way to manage it, is to dry the feathers every single day they are wet, clipping them right back and applying a topical ointment specific to mud fever and how bad it is.

@@shasha738 Oh, I must have missed that, poor Uniek! I remember Yvonne saying in an older Video that she was checking Uniek's feet regularly, but couldn't find anything. Obviously, this has changed. I'm certain Uniek will receive the best treatment from Yvonne and will get better soon 🍀

@@shasha738 She doesn't always suffer from it and they obviously treat it as soon as she does. Yvonne said Uniek has done that for many years and I'm positive they wouldn't let her suffer for years.

How interesting that saying about a picture being worth 1000 words is also in the US. Makes one wonder about the origin. And how many countries it ISN'T in. 😌 Just a hobby?! For all that you do and the hours you spend doing it, I'm sure most or your subscribers ,like me, thought you work for Rein . How phenomenal to find something to do in life that encompasses something you love so much. I won't say lucky because you've obviously worked hard and still do to accomplish your dreams. ]

WOW, Rein is very very lucky to have you, Yvonne! You work very hard, in the heat and snow and are very dedicated to the horses. It shows through the videos how much you love them all . I think "Risey" is a good english spelling for Rising Star but either way is cute! Sad that Richtsje and Sjirkje are sold but really looking forward to seeing Gertje and Gea have babies now that they are Provisional Crown (Gertje) and Star (Gea) girls!! She had said due to RA she cannot work like she did, she gets to enjoy her hobby lol while raising young sons very busy lady she sure does deserve whatever good comes her way !

Yvonne does get paid by Rein Sr as an employee she just isn’t working constantly training 4 to 5 horses every day like before as back then she worked at a few different stables training horses regularly.Working at Stal G is still her job only it’s not as physically demanding on her body from her RA so doesn’t exacerbate it(having arthritis and chronic pain myself when a flare up his it can make even small movements incredibly painful)The videos/channel were started by Yvonne as her hobby here & there to share what amazing horses Friesian’s are and she does an amazing job Shannon Moderator😊🌟

Well, Rising Star 🌟has learned from Uniek. To find an easy way to scratch, when you have an itch. I'm sure it is not the only thing he has learned from her. Everyone at Stal G seems so friendly toward each other, it is easy to believe that you are all just one big happy family; especially when the children and neighbor boy Rein pitch in to help or to play with the horses. It's also easy to forget that Stal G is a business. Owner Rein is very kind to open up his breeding stable so we can peak inside and learn a little bit about the way he runs his business. This opportunity to see everything at Stal G, from insemination to the birth of a foal, to the three years of growing up and training for Inspection, to the horses becoming mothers or fathers themselves, is just fabulous! Thanks for sharing the letter with us, I really like learning about other cultures I think it makes one a better person, glad to see Geertje hope everyone is doing well. When it comes to names you can spell them any way you want too he’s your horse if you want to give him a nickname you can spell it any way you want. I am still amazed by Uniek she’s an incredible horse and mother a once in a lifetime animal friend, mine was a feral cat when I was little she was my best friend and after many years I still miss her, how fortunate we have been to have that special friendship. Enjoy Gertja and iFauna together so much. They are adorable together, just their Durch sounds and intonations make me chuckle! Oh baby Risey! likes being read too ! Mem is alert too. See their ears!!! Uniel kcomes over and snorts and listens more. she knows how important she is! Loved by Ifauna !!!! (Yvonne Yvonne!! ). Uneik is more relaxed and happy with a baby I see here then now when Uniek is.. not as relaxed. Uniek Like something to do? Dance carriage pulling.. so beautiful she is and such a mem and dancer that extra flourish in her dressage work. Want to keep watching. (Great training yvonne too). Watched the dressage olympics because of Uniek. Unique seemed just relaxed dancing vs doing this routine kind of thing- more nervous less enjoyed? She’d be super to watch as she danced at 13 - (that video) but at the Olympics.

In the beginning, I went from thinking you were the owner of the stable to a paid employee & now knowing it is a hobby. You are a very dedicated volunteer, Rein is blessed to have you. The only thing that matters is that you are happy doing what you do, if you weren't, you wouldn't be there.

@@lisajoyaslanis Hi Lisa believe me when this video came out with Yvonne saying her position at Stal G was simply one of being a volunteer I was surprised and kind of thrown for a loop(in a good way of course)because I like the majority of the family wasn’t expecting it. Yvonne does indeed spend her time at the stable strictly as a volunteer helping Rein Sr care for the horses so she does not get paid. She also said her videos are her main hobby and she does earn some money both from her KZfaq account as well as from any purchases followers make buying her merch off the Spring website. Now I don’t know the full background as to why this is or what reasons Yvonne has for sharing this announcement now as some could be private however what I do know is that her arthritis has been giving her a tough time making little movements or walking a few steps incredibly difficult she did share that she is taking medication for it again and that she’s managing it,this I believe was a big part of why she’s easing her workload. As one who deals with chronic pain/early on set arthritis starting in my teens it can be very painful. Yvonne does really seem to enjoy things right now and to me I’m just glad she’s found a way to handle everything where it’s not taking too much of a toll on her body and she’s happy. If Yvonne and her dear horses are content with things then I’m absolutely pleased for them all.💕💕⭐️⭐️🐎🐎

@@kimberlyearly8918 Yes I’ve now clarified that I was in the wrong on this(fully my mistake and I removed my comments about it so I apologize🙈)and Yvonne is NOT getting paid by Rein Sr,her position IS indeed that of a volunteer helping with tend to the daily needs of the herd and chores around the barn including of course her own kids Uniek and Risy. I understand because I too was both surprised and confused by this announcement however I’m simply happy that Yvonne has found a way of managing everything around her that is a lot less stress on her body particularly as her arthritis has been flaring up and that she is happy making videos while earn her money from both them and the sales of her merchandise.(as someone who’s dealt with chronic pain and early onset arthritis from a young teenager it can be quite painful as well as making simple tasks more intimidating and challenging.)I don’t know everything though as there may be things she hasn’t shared to have her privacy I’m glad she’s eased up on her workload and doing something that is easier for her.⭐️🐎😊

You also put on one of those comments that you were a comment moderator. If that's really the case you should be sure of what you're saying because that made it seem even more like she was being dishonest. Please correct that for her sake and for others that trust and feel like they know her. I see now I missed where you said you removed the comments. I also know all about chronic pain and it's really difficult to navigate life with it. I feel so bad for her!

Thank you for that information about your position at Stal G. I think Rein is the most fortunate of people to have an amazing woman like you to volunteer their time and efforts for the horses. I realize the profit margin is probably very small in running Stal G---undoibtedly when the place was a dairy it wasn't financially making huge profits. Now knowing that your work in the stable is a hobby, I'm so glad that you are able to make some money from these videos. I know the videos are alot of work. Yvonne, your beautiful videos are just wonderful. Before seeing them, I had only seen the Friesian horse in videos. Thank you to you & Rein for sharing both your & the horses lives with us. I don’t know if I’ll ever have the opportunity to visit the Netherlands, so thank you again for showing the beautiful towns, countryside & other stables. I also appreciate your sharing the keurings & history of the Friesian horses. I’ve even gone online to the KFPS & FHANA websites. It’s just amazing what those organizations & responsible breeders have done to develop this beautiful breed when they only had 1 stallion about 100 years ago! I hope that I will one day have the chance to see a Friesian horse in person one day! Keep doing what you do. You have brought much happiness to many people around the world! 💕

I LOVE the Friesian horses and your videos. My parents were from Friesland (left in 1946 ) so it is a happy reminder for me. The videos are so caring and special. The comments are very interesting. The first video I saw was when Rising Star was united with Uniek for the first time and since then I am hooked! This comes all the way from Fisherhaven, Western Cape, South Africa. Lol Uniek and Risy😂 Today at my barn, I was taking the school horses back out to their pasture but someone had left the gate open to a paddock that a couple of pony mares go into. So the school horses decided they liked that paddock and went in there. I tried herding them out, but it didn’t work. Tried with a bucket of pellets, almost worked. One of the other barn hands came out and helped and we got them back in their pasture. So I had an interesting day😂😂 On the plus side, I got to cuddle some with the Friesian mare Naomi. Now that winter’s coming, she’s turning jet black again.

Uniek with her trusty itchy leg I sometimes find myself looking to see if she does it whenever she’s inside it makes me smile and it’s her own special little quirk she’s the best. Both she and Reintje looked so glamorous and content standing quietly for their appointment at the Stal G grooming station they really seem to enjoy the one on one pampering it makes them feel good and I’m happy whenever the herd is happy. In Fryslan (and other parts of the Netherlands) it is quite common that (mostly) girls ride horses for breeders. It is quite expensive to buy a horse and to pay every month for a stable. So both are happy, it helps the breeder to get better horses in competitions and it helps the girls with no horses who like to ride. We call it ‘with closed wallet’, the breeder and the rider do not pay. They enjoy both the beautiful horses!

When I was a teenager I was horse crazy. My friend and I started volunteering at a local polo field as hot walkers for the ponies after their chuckers. In a few months my friend and I were allowed to exercise the horses during the week. My friend and I got to ride many different horses and learned a great deal about their care. The owners got free help with their horses. Win-win.

The fabulous Friesians, Uniek, the miracle of Rising Star, Yvonne and all the stable, mares and foals, and Johnny! My niece has her own horse, something of a quarter horse blend (I think). I think I take my cue from you about Risy? Or Risey? First time I saw a shortened name I believe it was Risy. That baby is a very blessed colt! Trying to learn horse etiquette! I AM NEW TO THIS CHANNEL. I AM AMZED at the beauty this particular breed of horse resonates. I have never ridden a horse and being nearly 66 Years old, I probably will not. BUT MY SISTER rode horses and took Blessons as a child and she hopes to ride just one more time. SHE IS NOW 60 years old and I HOPE TO MAKE HER dream come true. I rode almost my whole life and unfortunately from health problems I couldn’t be around them for a while - but i was just hired as a riding instructor and it’s fantastic, wish some of the horses I work with could be as well behaved as yours! Lol But horse love is for life 💜 Rising Stars journey especially is so incredible and thank you for letting all of us be a part of it!

Must be nice to just relax and calmly braid all that hair, a pretty summer day. The smell of warm hay and horses in the summer is something special. I have braided a Spanish stallion's mane that way once, it was satisfying to see the way it turned out. No more tangles left!
