Hey! I love watching your videos and you actually inspired me to wanna attend Yale! I kinda wanna share my story and why it means the world that you make these videos that inspire people! So I’m originally from Hialeah, FL and was born there, but I moved as a toddler to Virginia. Virginia isn’t the best place to be for future aspirations, but it is for those who grew up with nothing and finally wants a change. Both my parents are immigrants. My father is from Argentina and my mother is from Cuba! My mother’s story is most enticing, she was born and raised in Cuba until my grandma passed away when my mother was only age sixteen. My mother grew up without a mother but was ranked Top 30th place amongst 500 students in her class which is pretty good given she never studied or tried as much! She moved to the USA at age 18 and had me at age 36. My mother never pushed education into me, and this is where the story mends. I was never studious but I was called bright by a few teachers! Unfortunately, being smart wasn’t the most important thing and I was never taught that school and college was important. I never had aspiration, ambition, or determination. I am dreamful but I lacked ambition and determination, until now. Because my high school reputation was ruined, I have to attend a community college! I’ve NEVER worked hard for something scholastically. My mother has that in her blood however, and genetically it was passed down to my sister, who works HARD. For instance, I get mentally ill working too much, but I believe it’s because I’ve never done any extracurriculars, but this time for college I’m expecting myself to join extracurriculars and have more fun out of my home! Basically my plan changed drastically! I wanna actually try to get Top 10 in Nova (my community college) and maybe possibly become Valedictorian! I just know that genetically I have that hard working habit, I just have to try to find it! My father’s creative and dreamful personality passed onto me, so I’m not at ALL like my mother, but she inspires me and I aspire to be her:) But these vlogs really push something outta me that makes me wanna restart. In Nova I can fully rekindle a brand new reputation, and I’ll be able to start from scratch. One more thing! I actually dropped out of high school because my rep was so bad, but I’ve decided that I was going to take my GED. I’m not done which is the problem! I’m not taking the classes, I’m just nailing the tests. So far I got a 161 on the Science, but I’m mostly better in English so I got a better score on the English pretest, but I still have to finish the actual test! As of right now I’m trying to finish the Social Studies pretest, failed twice (not sure how) but it’s kinda weird. It’s not a test you can actually study, so I’m doomed if I cannot pass it. Anyways, I just wanted to get to introduce myself honestly! :))
