I have no patience with people who play games, none whatsoever. I can be outright rude if and when it's necessary. This woman (supposed friend) was visiting and she paid me one of those backhanded compliments, it went something like this: She: Oh your glass shelves and storage jars look so pretty! Did you buy them at the dollar store? Me: No. I did not, I bought them at a real store. A few weeks went by and she came back with a Christmas present, she did not remove the price tag, and just in case I did not notice it, she kept saying that she spent a lot of money on it. So I let a few more weeks go by and the next time she visited, I handed her gift back to her (new) I never used it and I said, I feel really bad about keeping your gift, it's so beautiful and you spent so much money on it and as you can see it doesn't go with anything I already have, so more than likely I will never use it, so please try to get your money back or re-gift it to someone else. She took it and that was the end of that.

I have very long hair too. Apparently I'm not beautiful unless I colour or cut off my hair. Ya, well I still get I'D for booze or cigarettes and I'm 56! Your hair is beautiful and so is your soul Tammy. Our hair amplifies and enhances our energetic spiritual connection and intuition. Hair are antenna that are strong energy conductors. If it's cut off, it weakens the connection. I've noticed that people who try and control others by saying, "you should do this or that", usually don't have control over their own lives. Tammy, I was very glad to see your video today. Every thing you spoke of is unfortunately true. I'm a 77 year old Taurus and learned the hard way (a mother who tolerated me being the 6th child that she didn't want in her older brood of 5). I learned to not take it personally, but to also try to be the better person. Her 5th child was my sister who really took care of me and truly became my mother figure. She is now 84 and her husband has dementia. I speak with her on the phone every morning and try to build up her confidence to face what ever the coming day will bring with him. Mostly struggles. I always try to be up beat and think I'm helping her emotionally. I try to be that way with everyone in my life and find it makes me feel good. If I receive criticism from someone I let it roll off and tell them that's the way I like it, so it's there because I want it to be. Usually stops people in their tracks. So, you keep your roses and your hair long. That's YOU and I personally like you the way you are .....honest and real. I grab every video you put out, so you must be doing it right! Funny how some statements stick in our minds all of our lives, there is still animosity in me at that person. Sadly we live in a very hostile world. I think it’s part of the human condition. People can be cruel and sadly we are seeing more entitled and narcissistic people everywhere. I had to shut down Facebook and instagram and many other media platforms because I was getting everyone from scammers to downright cruel people attacking me. It’s bad enough with family picking on you let alone strangers. I recently had to cut ties with my mother and stepsister. I have my daughter on notice and I have put up strong boundaries with her. Just happened to me last week. I told a funny story to a group of women I meet up with. The title of your video reminded me of a backhanded compliment my mother gave me years ago when I was still talking to her when she was still alive "oh you can organize". Is what she said that was a usual kind of comment that I grew up with usually backhanded is what I got most of the time from most of my family It's unfortunate, but it's also one of the reasons I choose not to talk to them It's healthier and I try not to say backhanded compliments to others.

My childhood friend of over 20 years was like this..... always. We're unfortunately no longer friends as of 8 years ago. Along with our other common childhood friend...treated her the same way and also no longer friends with that woman. 😅 We both finally saw the passive aggressive comments towards us and we don't move that way any longer

Sometimes it is more problematic when there is elitism and pure denial (or sometimes even cognitive dissonance) heaped way up high on top of that narcissism… like, hey, I am so smart, why would you not want to improve yourself [with my elite advice]? “I am just trying to help you… don’t be so sensitive, what’s wrong with you?” I hear garbage like this all the time). I usually ignore it unless it has to do with money… and then I usually just ask, “why do you seem so unhappy then, since you are so smart and wealthy and all?” This is not a nice thing for me to say because I know there is a gap in “spiritual wealth” or however you want to say that. Sometimes it just gets to be too much, so I will admit I am not always reserved, and sometimes I just spout a bit. Long ago I had a friend in our group who would often start off, “you don’t seem like yourself, are you okay?” That seems nice, right? Nope, it was always followed with some insecure round about way of saying she just perceived that you did not make her the center of your attention and you somehow forgot to gush over her. That was a hard one to keep in our friends circle, but we entertained her for a long time and it eventually just faded out. As we become more focused, secure, educated, or anything to do with “being okay”, digs like this will only serve as an affirmation 😘 No need to do much with backhanded statements really, despite the big temptation to respond. They can be deflating to our own ego or maybe plant doubt seeds about our own appearance, that is only if we let them. If you can realize you must be doing something right, then it makes more sense about how you even attracted that unwanted personal attention, and there is something to it, but it is more often their problem and not really anything to do with you. If you do not need a perfect hairdo, a perfect outfit with perfect shoes, the perfect mate, a perfect house/car, or a perfect anything… it makes their “perfection” less valuable, like they wasted their time and money and energy to be envied and you just did not care to feed the beast. It is that spirit of “trying to create envy” that gets easier to see through. On the other hand, is possible to be quite successful in all these things and still carry an air of class and common decency without needing to step on others to feel better. That type of elegance is beautiful in its own right, but it is not everyone’s style, nor should it be a requirement. Really classy people do not need to “rub it in” so to speak. It is fun to dress up and do self-care stuff, so to each their own. I could not keep up with all that fluff and still have my messy fun, so I am probably just a chameleon, able to dress the part, but much more comfy in my natural habitat 🫠 👈That creates jealousy sometimes too, so there is really no way to win the game anyhow. Much easier to just realize what it is and roll on past it. They will figure out their own junk eventually 🤷🏻‍♀️💞 I guess what I am saying is I do understand! For anyone made to feel “less than” in any arena, please know that I admire your ability to not give two craps about it 💪

I can’t believe someone would actually have the audacity to say all that stuff to you but I can cuz I worked with a person like her for years and it was so awful and she was always so sickening sweet about how she said everything. Idk if it matters but we are both Aries and my sister-in-law also worked with us and she is an Aries. I’m so happy that is all over with. I hope I never have to deal with that person ever again. She started by being involved with my children because she was their age and then working with me at a place for years and she would always say bad things about my daughters to other people in front of me to try and make my daughters look bad cuz she was so jealous of them and me. She was so jealous of everyone. She has some bad childhood issues. I know she is still out there bashing me and my sister in law and daughters trying to cause trouble and I know there are new victims at her new job. This is one of those people that will never stop cuz she needs help and she is so bad as to make you look bad to the boss and like you said when I finally became her boss she couldn’t take it and left in a nasty way. She was a sneaky manipulator and just a horrible person to have in your life and causing trouble even when she wasn’t part of my life gossiping about me and my children and family and anyone else she feels is a threat. I live in a very small town and what do you do about people like this. My daughter is being a life guard and supervisor and her teen daughter is one of the life guards for the summer at the town pool and there is another person that is just like this other person I just told you about. Totally awful lady that wants to be the boss and goes to the pool on other people’s shifts with her note book and writes down everything that is going on that she thinks is done wrong and goes to the city office and tattles to the lady there. These people are awful. Minding everyone’s business.

It is said slights, or indirect insults are worse, because it leaves you to question yourself more than them. I have recognized the patterns in comments with backhanded insults, to be exposed by the adjectives they use. Like “hideous”, or “feeble”, or “ugly”. All it does is expose them, and gives me the upper hand. I used to tell my ex not to give anyone any more ammunition to use against you than they already plan to use against you. People are so predictable that way. How about a response like, “I’m glad you liked it”. A reverse backhanded compliment. Lol then they can be triggered, not you. Better to just not respond and return to sender spiritually though, and laugh at the “ feeble” attempt. Lol

People who say things like that are talking about themselves not you we’re learning that with you know who in the public sector❤️ you should ask some of your listeners to volunteer as guard dogs too block some of the negativity from your page from your sessions❤️

I said nothing. I'm 62 I have very long hair. I'm cool with the way I look. Idk if he meant it to hurt my feelings.
