Congress leader Sonia Gandhi adopted Urwa gram panchayat in UP pocket borough Raebareli in 2014. Since then, she has neither set foot here nor made any major changes.

Raebareli and Amethi have been strong hold for congress from 1951, especially it strong place of Gandhi family. Gandhi family could have developed this district to another level and atleast for there reputation they could have improved the infrastructure so that if any International media comes to those district they should feel Gandhi has developed so much,. If you goto Baramati, which is strong hold for NCP and ruled by Pawar family. You can see the district how developed it is. But with Gandhi family we can see that they dont do anything for this district. Apart from bringing one or more Govt sector to those district.
