I remember my teachers would laugh with my bullies when I would get picked on, but threaten maximum punishment if I opened my mouth for even a second. School is a terrible place, and those teachers and so called security around the campus are useless.

Oh dear! That sounds horrible. I am so sorry!☹️😔😞😟😢😿😭 That happened to me as well all throughout my school life ever since preschool, even in summer camp. And now that I'm about to graduate from college, I still feel like I'm getting bullied by the teachers and authorities! I still feel like I'm going to face more bullying both in and out of work when I start my new job, all because I'm different!☹️😔😞😟😢😿😭💔💔💔

As someone who has and has had problems with being bullied, telling an adult rarely helps, because the bully can always deny, and they tend to get believed because an official would rather keep it quiet than confront that their school isn't perfect. And reporting online is the same.

I find telling an adult made it worse. I found ways around telling adults that solved the problem way better, like making yourself valuable

Agreed. Went through it myself, the teachers didn't do crap. I don't defend myself now, whenever the rare occasion of bullying occurs, in fear I'll be the one punished. Thankfully, we've gotten older, I'm no longer made fun of mostly every day. At least, not up front anymore.

When I was in the third grade...some bad girls ignored me (they still do) and they didnt wanted to be my friends because I wasnt rich like them and I was so sad, I didnt have any friend (now I have good friends) and I told my teacher. I told her some things they did to me but the bad girls lied all the time. The teacher said It's my fault for having no friends 😞

I suffered bullying all my childhood, and I still suffer from it. I told my parents, they said to me that I should claim I don't care so they would stop. I did. They didn't stop, it only got worse. They would read my diary, break my things, laugh at me, hit me, trap me in empty classrooms for hours straight, and exclude me from everything. When they started hitting me and it got visible, the principal was told about the situation. He gave a two-day suspension to them, and it still continued happening, lol.

In my school it's the exact opposite. Every time someone pushes someone (even if they're just playing or battling in a fair 1 v 1,which is something very enjoyable and common among boys) or just swears at someone (it doesn't matter if it's just for fun or if he/she really had a reason for it) a teacher comes up and thinks that the dude is trying to kill someone or some sh*t it, which can be quite annoying sometimes.

Everyone else: "How dare you get mad for no reason!" -And that's why we've got more Mental Health issues nowadays... I literally got diagnosed with Anxiety and PTSD, back in February. For this exact reason. 25 years. On a chronic basis.

I get bullied by the "cool kids" because I've always opposed them ever since I was little. If you're a victim of bullying stop trying to understand and justify the bully's behaviour. Those "cool kids" that bully have the best lives and hardly ever feel negative emotions, they're just terrible people and we have to come together to stand up to them. Improve yourself by becoming smarter, stronger, competent, and confident. It's always been me against them, but that's what life is. It's called natural evil.

I really think being bullied messed me up. Ugh Your brain becomes hard wired To avoid things that make you feel unsafe. It’s up to the individual to break free from that cycle, and sorta rewire the brain. It’s not easy, but you have to make yourself do things that make you uncomfortable. I’m still in the middle of this process.

Many of my worst experiences with bullying came from the teachers, not the kids. I had special needs, but they treated me like I was just being naughty, and were quicker to yell or punish me when I genuinely didn't understand something.

Don’t let them win. I was bullied for whole school experience. From mid 80’s until I finished high school in late 90s. I have forgiven them but my whole childhood was ruined along with crap home life. Please forgive the bullies and get help for mental anguish. Don’t let these crappy people win. I’m over 40 and still think about it occasionally but we have to move on best we can

I'll never forget when I was in jr high school during a study hall, I was being bullied by an older kid. He would make panting noises as a warning that a punch was coming, then hit me hard in my upper arm. This would go on for the entire period. He would hit me probably 15 to 20 times in 45 minutes. My arm would me so bruised and sore that I couldn't write. The worst part was the teacher would clearly see this was happening and did nothing to stop it. She would be looking right at me as I was being punched then lower her eyes and go back to reading her book.

I was bullied from kindergarten to sixth grade. When I moved away in sixth grade, I entered a better school system and wasn’t treated badly anymore. Unfortunately, it turned out that I was an emotional mess once my ‘emotional wall’ came down. I went through a period of suicidal thoughts and self harm, along with depression. Now, I’m a sophomore in highschool and am in behavioral therapy, and I’m taking lexapro for my anxiety. I’m still a long way from the way I probably would’ve been without bullying, but I’m improving everyday. Please don’t bully others, it causes so much stress and hurt to those affected by it. I started bullying my sister out of hurt, and still have to refrain from rude comments about her body or personality on a daily basis.

I have to say, the term "bullying" is used far too often nowadays. For example: I and another dude of my class once played some games, you know, running away and catching each other and stuff... Well, I caught him on his shirt and, of course, didn't let him get away, since I wanted to win, a teacher saw it and immediately accused me of bullying. By that I want to say that the overuse of the term "bullying" even in the most harmless scenarios detracts from the actual cases, that actually should be the main focus.

This doesn't happen often enough in school that bullying gets diminished by its happenstance. Teachers don't give an F. Has nothing to do with them perceiving it poorly at wrong times. They just don't care. Easier to make make excuse when they consider it all the same

I got bullied at primary school for 4 years straight. The group of bullies called me names, which now don't seem really offensive anymore, but were back then. Things were thrown at me, like for example not finished lunch and pencils. I had 1 single friend which joined the bullies later, claiming I'm a thief. I couldn't bring my dolls to school because people would think I stole them. Then some people from a higher class noticed it and reported the bullying, so it stopped.

So true. They get mad at me I skipped class one time and me and my friend were in the bathroom hiding until school ended. (It was the last class of the day and it was study hall.) So the teachers were like wait were are they. But they didn't go in the bathroom yet. So a 7th grader went in the bathroom she said she won't tell but she f@#!ing told on us so 3 teachers of them went in the bathroom *LOOKED* through the stall. (Which I think is illegal.) WHY DID THEY LOOK THROUGH THE STALL WHAT IF I WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO THE BATHROOM AND THEY WERE LOOKING AT MY you-know-what. And were like "why are you skipping class bish blah blah." And then they asked is anyone else in there with you and I said no because I didn't want my friend to get in trouble because I don't want to rat her out but then they're like no you're lying because they freaking looked in the stall like that's just stupid I think that's illegal for them to look in the stall like I don't know and I got in school suspension because I skipped the last class the day what you don't really need to take because it's study hall which is stupid I had to miss 7th and 8th period. That damn girl. Wanna kill her. Anyway yeah I hate teachers.

WOW!; TRIANGLE BOB CAN FINALLY TALK!!!, THE PHROPHECIES HAVE BEEN FULLFILLED! but yeah, I have been bullied in every school I have been, plus, as a small addition, have been kicked off any conversations my peers held, and, the anxiety I developed made me start to eat my fingernails uncontrollably, now I don't have any. I never minded the rumors people spread about me, because there were worse things they made to me, like intentionally trip and blame me, despite me being like 6 feet away from them and stuff like it. But I don't hate the bullies, but rather feel bad for them, because the causes of their behaviour are now well known, I wish I could help them, but here in Mexico, authorities are known for doing nothing at all about crimes and stuff, and therefore, issues like this.

In middle school, people used to ignore me all the time, they barely acknowledged me and if I tried to do anything, they’d insult me. Worse thing is, at the end of my eighth grade year last year, after consistently telling my teachers about what a “terrible person” I was, my school didn’t accept me for high school. Luckily, I’m in a better school now, and although there are bullies here, they’re easier to ignore.

I was bullied at school verbally too when i was a kid for 3 years, then I've had enough and said to myself that this HAS TO end, when the bully was walking towards me I didn't escape, instead i looked them just in the eyes, then they got angry and tried to grab me by my shirt, then I grabed their hand and told them with a steady voice : "what is your problem? I'm not afraid of you and if you try to bother me again I'll teach you a good lesson"while fixing them in the eyes , ofc I was screaming internally from fear I thought I'm gonna die , but It worked! I was often bullied because of my weight. Nobody even questioned it, it’s so easy to pull the “it’s just a joke,” or “it’s not that deep.” So people usually pushed it off as me being sensitive, and I blamed myself for it. However, your words do have a very large impact on people’s lives. It’s NEVER okay. It led me to the point of attempting to intentionally overdose. The reason for my size was due to me having to take medication that made it easy for me to gain weight, and incredibly difficult to lose it. So everything came flooding back. I started to self harm- it can be more than just cutting by the way. I started to bite myself, carving words into my skin with a small blade, smacking myself until i bruised. I wanted control over something. I told an adult about people who had been commenting, such as “300 pounds at 13.” “My forehead would be a onehead with *Yua’s* chubby fingers.”

I'm actually bullied in school. People from my class keep spreading rumors that I'm attention seeking and that I do everything to make others notice me. I have no idea what to do and I'm too scared to tell an adult. I don't know who to trust in school anymore. I'm trying to build up some courage to tell my parents but my brain keeps saying "Don't worry, you'll be fine. It'll stop eventually." Any advice? Thanks, you guys. Appreciate the advice. I'll actually tell adults. Also, to those who were saying I probably was attention seeking, try putting yourself in my shoes. Not just my shoes, anyone's shoes who were too scared to say something. I'm known as the quiet person in class. Don't insult someone just because you don't know each other. You might not know them personally but you probably hurt their feelings a bit.

juju hearteu I know how you feel. I have been bullied from elementary to high school. The best thing to do would be to contact your parents or teacher about this. I know you may think your predicament will end eventually, but it didn’t in my case. Don’t be afraid to ask for help; it’s never too late.

Tell a teacher man. I was being bullied for a while, but before it got to bad I told a teacher, and yes it stopped. I had to have a meeting with the principal with the person who was bullying me but it stopped. Be prepared even if it feels awkward, you should. You’ll feel a lot better afterwards.

You definately should tell an adult (or better yet, several adults). Bullying doesn't stop on its own, but it can stop if you do something about it

unfortunately, fighting back would be worse anyway and most would lose to the bully. bullies dont put themselves in a losing position they are the true weak ones.
