"Left Brain, Right Brain" is one of if not the quintessential BB song. It drives right to the heart, conceptually, lyrically and melodically. But 10 years after this was released I have a new appreciation and perspective on it. I always thought the "Comedy" conclusion was just a way to land the plane and wrap up the song, or maybe that he created the song as a way to articulate his twisted relationship with comedy. For me, someone who is an artist and STILL figuring out what I want to do with my life, this song really hits home because for every one of life's struggles comes with blaming yourself for either being too analytical or too emotional. What the song means to me now is that it's not about blaming one side of the brain vs the other, it's about finding your thing in life that allows for the best balance between the two. Comedy was Bo's thing. I hope you've found yours or are working on it. I can't wait to see what mine is.

First time watching this special. Everyone talks about the jokes, as they should, but I don't see nearly enough recognition for "left brain, right brain" or "We think we know you", as an artist, even more so a musician, to see his passion and knowing he's actually pretty introverted when he leaves the stage really hits, the way he addresses criticism and the people who hate on his stuff gets me in a way that many "serious" forms of expression haven't gotten me in a long time. the way he ends in such a dramatic but real way makes this special all the better. This was my first time giving Bo's stuff a try and I can't wait for when I have time to watch more. really looking forward to watching Inside next.

Nobody seems to be talking about just how ballsy it was to include bits where he purposefully messed up. If he had legitimately knocked over his water, hit a wrong note, or so much as been slightly off from his timing before or after the jokes were used, he would've looked foolish and arrogant for trying to pull off this self-aware humor.
