A lot of Americans haven't been outside the country bc we don't get much time off work, it's very expensive to live here so money isn't spent on plane tickets to go overseas when you could visit another state.

I think emily did not fit in this situation. She is kind of harsh and kind of mocking others... she didnt fit in this concept. She must be someone to neutralize the situation which she failed to do...

People from the United States being noisy or loud can also include people from other parts of the world not being as outgoing, loud or as vibrant as in the US.

👏 👏 👏 FINALLY, people who are calling out all these stereotypes. America is an incredibly diverse place. As are a lot of countries. Let’s continue focusing on challenging stereotypes instead of perpetuating them.

There seems to be a pleasure in America bashing that is unfortunate. America deserves the critique about a measure of self-centeredness. However, the pervasiveness of American Culture lies in part with the consumers as well as the producers. You watch American TV and then criticize us for it. While criticizing Americans for being Americans the expectation is that America's nuclear umbrella will protect from the harm of other nuclear powers, that American money will provide assistance when in danger or need, that American help will be forthcoming if there is an emergency. That part needs to be appreciated along with the criticism. There is fast food and there is food from every culture. Morning showers, deodorant use, daily toothbrushing were American habits popularized WW2 and Post WW2. I present the example of Ukraine and offer all of Europe's contribution and The U.S. contribution. America desperately needs allies, it has many world concerns. Europe needs America, it also has many world concerns. Demonstrations, disagreements, confrontations, and criminal violence occur in Europe. Restricting immigration, diluting civil liberties, fencing borders, establishing trade barriers or tariffs also occur in Europe. How many European Schools teach the history of the Western Hemisphere (any of the Western Hemisphere)? Does any European know the history of the American Revolution (or the French and Spanish involvement in it) or the War of 1812? Don't throw stones from a glass house.

You can easily fit 30 Euopenion countries in the US, getting news about other countries in the EU is the equivalent of getting news about other states. The radius of your news is about the same, with the addition of news from countries that have a direct impact on your country. It's pompous and entirely ignorant to disregard size and impact. Or do you often get breaking news from Uruguay that doesn't include the world cup?

Something to keep in mind when it comes to traveling abroad for Americans, The absolute minimum distance of airline travel from America to Europe is 7-13 hours depending on where you live. Not to mention the cost that comes with that.

What I have noticed while living in USA. Is that people can´t stand silence or just hanging out and not saying anything. It makes them unconfortable. And in my country, Finland, that is very normal. And we hate small talk. And I know that sometimes it is thought as shyness or just being rude. But we just dont want to act what we are not.

I’m American and neither a Republican nor a Democrat. We aren’t required to register with a political party. And some politicians do run and win as independents. Although we have what is called a two party system because that’s mostly who wins but we have smaller political parties like Reform, Green. I have actually attended their conventions before as a journalist. Also there have been parties that have come and gone through history like the Federalist Party, the Whig Party. Contrary to what Emily said I don’t interpret the terms conservative and liberal as synonymous with Republican and Democratic. For one thing conservative and liberal apply to issues/topics. Like you can be a fiscal conservative and at the same time liberal on social issues. But Republicans and Democrats are the people who belong to those parties. There are people who are considered conservatives and liberals in many countries’ governments.

With the American food. There is definitely a difference between American pizzas and hamburgers etc compared to the originals from overseas. However it certainly isn't limited to just fast food. Even if it is dominated by it in many parts of the country and in the media.
