It's time to bring back my $10 series for a 14th episode -- and this time, I am coming to you live from the lovely country of IRAN!!
As you may remember from my video a few days ago when I explained the confusing currency situation of Iran -- everyday life in this country is relatively cheap. I say "relatively" because as long as you can avoid the touristy hotels & restaurants, then you will be surprised by how far your money can take you in Iran! I'm talking about the same affordability level as in South East Asia (i.e. Vietnam, Philippines and Cambodia)... Yes, Iran is THAT CHEAP!

UPDATE: This video is really outdated by now. I've just come back from Iran, and €10 = 1,500,000 ($10 = around 1,300,000). Here's what €10 got me in Isfahan, Iran. •3 taxi rides •Ice cream •Rose water drink •Kebab with rice •Pepsi •Two aloe vera drinks •Snacks for the bus •Beryani (Completely different to biriyani) •4.5 hour bus ride with a reclining armchair, loads of leg room, and even a free meal The best part? This didn't even cost me €10. All this was only €8.50. I couldn't spend €10 in a day in Iran.

Despite what you hear on TV - Iran is a very safe country to visit! They love foreigners and will go out of their way to help you. No issues as an american traveling there, just get your visa beforehand.

I've just been to Iran, this video is really out of date. I posted a comment about what the prices are now, but basically, imagine this but 3× cheaper. Now, $10 is roughly 1,300,000 rial (I'm European, so I just glanced at the dollar rate. The euro rate is €10 = 1,500,000 rial)

@Truth Seeker Dude I don't know what you are shown in Pakistan but iam a Hindu and I studied in a Muslim school for 4 year's and too be honest india has given its minority more freedom than any other country even in USA there is racism and 4 out of my 5 closest friends are Muslim my class teacher is a Muslim Is there holiday for holi is Bangladesh / Pakistan no! @Truth Seeker what is mean to say is that you will see people celebrating Eid in India but you will not see it in Bangladesh(Hindu festival)and this is clear Hindu population percentage has been declining in Bangladesh from 20% to 6% while in India Muslim population has increased from 18% to 21% our president was a Muslim will they make a Hindu high ranking official in Bangladesh no. Did you know that at time of partition there were 53% Hindus in Karachi now just 2% and those people are extremely poor so they aren't forced Ajit Doval India's national security advisor was a raw agent deployed in Karachi for many years and when he came back he told so many converted Muslim's were still secretly worshiping Hindu gods he told that a old man figured out he was Hindu and took him to his house where he secretly worshiped Hindu gods but due to fear it was always a secret.

@@grod805 The international exchange rate is still 1 dollar = 4,200 Rials. It's just going up and down from within Iran and mostly Iranians themselves have to pay the price... the Iranian currency hasn't really lost all of its value in the international level, though.

@@liberoAquila Yes you can, I recommend you exchange on the streets as you wil get way more rial that way. Banks scam you ;). Oh and by the way dont forget to take cash with you as you credit/debit card wont work in iran due to sanctions.

It's a great country to travel in. I traveled there in 2004, it was very interesting with experiences ranging from teahouses to nomadic families. Ancient ruins and lively bazaars. It's diverse, friendly and easy to travel.

Iran is the safest country in the middle east without a doubt and also it has the safest sky in middle east so nothing will harm tourists . there are some issues with our government but as long as you respect the rules you will have great experience.also Iran will provide 30 days visa on arrival if you're a Polish citizen.

Dear Friend One Year before i was also in Tehran, Iran but one thing you missed is 'Snap' which is like uber and tourists use it its cheaper than taxi and any other mean of traveling and one more thing you missed is tourist card to use its like ATM card you buy any thing with it after pop up it money Thanks Don't miss these if you gone next time to Iran
