Josh a Sock darts are definitely in the same realm of comfort as a mesh nmd. Try a pair on if you haven't already.

Cant tell you how nice it is to live in Portland. Home of Adidas and Nike where your neighbor has 400+ shoes and a ton of one offs or never released shoes. These collectors are everywhere here.
