Today I went to the 'Pasar Senggol Gianyar' Night Market near Ubud in Bali Indonesia to find out how much food I could eat for $5 (75.000 IDR). I arrived with an empty tummy and got home later totally full and exhausted.
To be honest, buying Indonesian Food in local areas, especially on markets, is pretty cheap. You could feet your whole family with those 5$. So of course I was able to buy a lot of food. I could have named that video as well INDONESIAN STREET FOOD CHALLENGE, because it was not easy for me to finish all the food and drinks 🤣
And as far as I love eating ... a simple Vlog without interacting with the locals would be boring for me, so I hope that you enjoy the video seeing me eating delicious Indonesian Food and joking around with the locals.

Pak bule beli nya di pelosok aja klo gitu 🤣. Di kampung saya aja jawa barat udah ga ada yg jual 10k.. Paling murah 12k-15k, klo include bakso 20k-25k. Gmn mau channel nya rame klo kelakuan terlalu ngerendahin pedagang... 20k dibilang very expensive hati saya malah sakit

The price of chicken noodles in Mojokerto, East Java is relatively very cheap in the 8-12k price range. Mojokerto's UMR is almost equivalent to Jakarta, but the cost of living in Mojokerto is much cheaper than Jakarta

In Indonesia, you can buy a medium-sized Big Mac Combo + an Apple Pie + a Milkshake with your $5. I've tried that before and I think that's the most definite thing here about it. The pricetags for things offered in here may vary across vendors and shops (esp. the ones sold on the streets). So, I'd suggest that you should start to learn to bargain the next time you try this again.

1:05 Yeah, true. 20k for 1 bowl is expensive, even in kalimantan here, where everything is more expensive than the other region, average for 1 portion in every stall is 15k, and some stall even including free tea for 15k.

giving/receiving money,things,etc with left hand is considered impolite in Indonesia. that's why,if you observe the locals,they always use their right hand when accepting/giving something. so preferable to use your right hand when"interacting"with locals

You should try Arak Bali, right from its source in Sidemen (Karangasem). A bottle of about 600 mL cost 20-25 K. I think it's the cheapest alcoholic beverage that you can find in Bali as a tourist 😁 anyway, stay safe and good luck on your journey!

saya pernah tanya kenapa bisa begitu, ada jawaban mengelitik, konon KATANYA itu adalah standar untuk "memperlakukan bangsa asing"yang dulu menjajah bangsa kita. disamping itu stigma blue eye banyak duit, blue eye sombong kadang kasar sama warloc, tidak taat aturan. tapi kepada blue eye yg sopan apalagi bisa ngomong bahaloc dengan sopan, warloc lebih aware sama mereka.

I think food price in Bali depends on your lucky. Only fast food and restaurant which have price list give you exact price. Sometimes, because you look tourist (although local and same ethnic) you will pay tourist price.

Chicken noodle is normally between 10-25K on street food stall.. In restaurant or mall, the price is higher.. 30-50K.

In Jakarta its normal price for nudle or mie ayam 15k-23k, when you eat in street food, but if you eat in a restorant or cafe you can pay 30k-45k for mie ayam. I live in Jakarta so i think it's normal bro

Kalau paham dengan konsep UMR atau kelayakan hidup di suatu tempat atau dibawa ke persaingan bisnis pasar bebas pasti tidak akan kasian. Malah bagus untuk ekonomi Indonesia. Maksudnya, misalkan, di negara asalnya tiket masuk ke wahana wisata mungkin $25 per orang, mereka biasa saja untuk bayar sebuah harga yang kalau dikonversi ke rupiah kita udah sekitar Rp. 370an ribu untuk masuk ke wahana tersebut di sana karena UMR mereka bisa Rp. 10 juta per minggu, tapi untuk orang Indonesia yang berkunjung ke negara mereka $25 untuk sebuah tiket wahana wisata tergolong sudah sangat berat. Gaji UMR seminggu di Indonesia habishanya untuk sebuah tiket masuk tempat wisata. Jadi langkah pemerintah sudah bagus untuk bikin foreigner prices, alias untuk menjaga harga diri rupiah agar tetap bermartabat di mata orang luar. Kecuali bisnis-bisnis privat yang target pasarnya juga UMR lokal, baru disesuaikan dengan kelumrahan di tempat itu alias perbandingan antara harga bahan baku, proses manufaktur serta penjualannya mengikuti kaidah lokal yang berlaku dengan perbandingan yang sesuai. Saya harap mbaknya ngerti, saya tidak jago menjelaskan soalnya. Tapi pokoknya gitu lah. 😂

I think the cheapest chicken noodle only exists at Jogja. Other cities are yeah 15K-20K. I stay at Bali a month, Canggu exactly, the food stall, they put the pricelist. At noon, normally I spent 20Ks. 2 Nasi Jinggo 2x 5K), boiled egg for 3K, 600ml mineral water 3K, instant coffee 5K. I don't eat pork, but they sell with difference prices, mostly 15K-20K-25K and so just like +++5K 😅

Terimakasih warga Bali , saya senang di era gempuran harga kopi saset di tempat wisata masih banyak yg jual harga 2/5 rb rupiah murah sekali bukan, jika di tarik di luar Bali tempat wisata kadang jual kopi harga bisa sampe 4/5 x lipat 😑

mi ayam 5-10 ribu itu cuma di kampung² itupun dh jarang di kota².. rata² malah 13-15 ribu, apalagi di tempat wisata pasti 15-20 ribu per porsi, dan itu pun biasanya dikasi baso juga🙂

@@aniefonggo7832 Yeah I agree with you my friend. It's usually still a good price (for foreigners). But there is a difference for me: Paying a higher, but still cheap price, because you are a foreigner. Or it can sometimes be an expensive price even. And on the other hand I wanna be treated the same ways as locals are being treated. Most of the Indonesian sellers give me the real price (only some try to charge more). It's about the principle. And furthermore it's so much fun for me to bargain. And hopefully for my viewers as well hehe ✌🏼PS: I don't really mind if I pay 20k instead of 10k for Mie Ayam. That's not a big deal. But if I pay for something 70k instead of 15k for example, that would be a different story =)

Actually this is not Bule price. It's tourist price. Usually you went into touristy place and you will expect Chicken Noodle at 15-20k. Always happen if you get into crowded areas. But once you went to less crowded areas (For example rural area in Yogyakarta), you can get as low as 8k Chicken noodle can range from 12-15k (not indomie). Touristy it's 17-25k.
