Really nice comparison between the 2 games, great video! I want to add a bit more to the AI part; the AI in Crime Boss is sometimes really annoying. Most notably on big heists, where you have to move the loot far (examples are Statue Heist, Hidden Vault). The AI always wants to carry 2 bags, sometimes it's very annoying that they keep throwing bags away in an inconvenient spot when they become low health rather than carrying them to some kind of cover, and that they keep picking up bags even if i placed them down to a place where i'd want to hold out for a bit, without a way of commanding them not to do so. There's no follow command either like in PD2, and neither PD3 nor Crime Boss has a "wait" or "stop" command for bots like PD2 did. A thing Crime Boss done well in stealth tho which you didn't mention is that there are body bags, unlike Payday 3 where you pick up bodies, carry them and placing them down is so jank with the ragdolls and whatnot. Can't wait for PD3 to have body bags back, they could implement it on a limited amount based on difficulty, the higher the difficulty, the less bodybags you have, and even add a stealth modifier such as "no body bags". There's so much space for improvement in PD3 still, but at least the game is healing slowly.

My biggest gripe with crime boss atm is that it’s not crosss play. I’m an Xbox player, one of my buddies games on his ps5 and the rest are all pc players… I know for sure atleast 2 of my buddies would love playing this game together

tried pd 3 again just today with the murky station heist from pd 2... went for solo play after a bit of playing i was looking forward to trying to figure out how to complete the heist, so i got to a supervisor where u gotta hack their phone and then... lost connection to my own lobby, loosing all progress without me having a say in the matter. I then proceeded to alt + F4 i am not turning this garbage back on again until they get that fixed

Enjoying crime boss more than payday 3 .. I don't disconnect and lose progress, plus the variety is way better .. once you master the heists in payday 3 there's not much happening unlike crime boss

i often play multiple games, and sometimes of the same genre. i do wonder if they can do this too as it just feels like you would only play the one you prefer. unless they can alternate heist updates so we can jump back and fourth, i feel there too similar in gameplay.

The bad performance is definitely due to denuvo. Been thinking of picking the game up when it releases on steam but since you're having performance problems with a much better rig than mine I think I'll pass.

Crime boss didnt change an armor system for no reason, they need to revert it back to pd2 armor and have a whole skill system rework, without that payday 3 wont ever get close to the numbers of payday 2, and this is me saying this without mentioning heist variety, which payday 2 had to a decent extent and CRIME BOSS MASTERED.

I run crime boss on a 2080 super, 32gb RAM, i9 9900k. I cap my fps to 90, that is probably why you have issues I haven't had any lag so far, any particular mission or overall laggy for you? I notice that many games run so much better with capped frames, otherwise they try to max fps and then it shuts off and you get a noticeable lag. I rather hit my 90 and leave that headroom than peak at 170 and then drop to 80 and peak again. It will be really bad overall and I don't know if it is an unreal problem but it almost seems like it because I do this with most unreal games and that solve them overusing your gpu until it choke.

I have a question that i dunno if i simply misunderstood or you haven't answered. Do you feel the cops are actively trying to stop you (altering the geography, blow up walls, etc) Or feel more like a nuisance like in payday 3

i honestly agree to everything on this video with my fair amount of time with crimeboss, but majorly, i agree on the gunplay and performance the gunplay in crimeboss is nothing spectacular, good enough to get some enjoyment out of it, whilst Payday 3 destroys crimebosses gunplay the Performance is also another thing that Payday destroys crimeboss in, i can have a rock solid 175 FPS at 1440p with ultra view distance,textures and materials, with everything else on high (cuz theres no different to high and ultra) (and for what ever reason, my 7800X3D does not like me recording PD3 and kills the 1% lows) whilst with crimeboss, i get a very inconsistant 150 fps at high-ish settings and even low settings like you have

Ai is the most annoying part in payday3 they just need to give them abilitys to tie up civs, pickup bags and throw them in the van, hold on position.(the command wheel should help by commanding them what to do) The singleplayer experience is just awful

It would have been better to compare crime boss to payday 2 because payday 3 isn't really a fully payday game it's basically a lazily thrown together payday 2 mod that uses a lot of mechanics from a lot of popular games.
