Very helpful, really! I’m looking to live in Bali for 6 months and this kind of information is priceless - tips on what to look out for, going there in person (I didn’t know it was such an important thing to do, tbh), and price breakdown 👌 Question - If I go there in November, is it then fair to assume I should book a place for a couple weeks and only look for a longer rental once I’m there? (didn’t get that from your video but I assume that’s what you did?) thanks again, makasih!

Wow, only $16 for a nice meal and the apt rent price is ok but Nadia said it's going up all the time. Living on SS even hard living in up coming times in Bali.

Hi @AbeMaruta We find the majority of our listings on the various Facebook groups that are for the specific areas we are looking at around Bali. You can find them in the description of this video👍 It is somewhat competitive but there are plenty of villas out there. Just depends on your budget & what your looking for. What areas in Bali are you looking for?

omg where are you finding these cheap accomodations ? on fb or? saw the fb links you shared.. I'm surprised as the fb page that I'm in "BALI ❤ LONG TERM Yearly/Monthly Rentals" is SUPER expensive.. 5-10x more expensive than what you are posting here

Wow 😳 Yes we used all the Fb groups listed in the comments & searched daily. Hope you're able to find something within your budget. Lets us know how you go.

Would you recommend like long term renting on Airbnb platforms? Or just finding an owner from the Facebook groups?

Hello! Long term Airbnb does come with advantages, like bills are usually covered and your place might be managed e.g. cleaning, maintenance, etc. But you also would probably pay a premium for this. Finding an owner or agent through a Facebook group does take some extra work initially but might save you some cash in the long run. Particularly if you are renting for a longer period of time.

Mostly Facebook groups and can even use Airbnb as some private owners prefer that platform. All the FB groups are linked in the description 👍

Hey Rick! Yes, in some areas rent has doubled. Typically they are the villas in the most popular areas like Canggu, Ubud & Uluwatu. Jumping on the Facebook groups in the description of our video you’ll be able to check out some places to get a feel for what’s out there. If it were us we’d look outside of the popular spots to reduce the prices but it also has to match with what you’re after. Going for viewings helps as well to get a sense for the areas.

Things have changed in Bali- the rent & food prices are outrageous and have tripled with WAY too many people/crime there now! Do NOT go there especially if you are Russian- STAY (TF) AWAY! Go to the Philippines - so CHEAP and beautiful!!!!
