Thanks man! I use this one. It's nothing special, but it's 100" diagonal and it's not in stock right now (amzn.to/2YOWf6q) but any $25 one here on here will honestly be the same. I just hung it up with nails and made sure it was stretched tight!

Why when I plug my brand new multi region external drive dvd player into my laptop it doesn’t respond in any way shape or form. Cable wise (USB) I follow the book yet nothing shows up on my laptop to say it’s reading the player!? All other external dvd players I have had in the past when connected to my laptop have responded immediately and either bring up the dvd menu or go straight to the movie bypassing the menu!

Hey man! Great video and very clear content! I have a question regarding connecting Bluetooth projector with the device, an iPhone or an Apple laptop. In your experience, are you still able to Stream movie services from your device to a bluetooth laser projector? I was able to stream the service Binge for sometime and they seem to have blocked that capability of being able to watch it through projector. Just trying to find my way around through the system. Any help would be appreciated!

So the Bluetooth will only do audio, the copyright restrictions will unfortunately still block that app from playing. If you can get that app on a Fire Stick, Roku, etc then that is always the easiest option for streaming.

Thank you! So you can either get a wireless setup of speakers that are Bluetooth and hook things up that way or you can get a wired setup. Either way, you would get it set up like usual, but then connect the projector the the main stereo received (either by Bluetooth or Aux connection).

I miss the way they built smartphones 10 years ago. I use to be able to connect my smartphone to anything via the usb/charging port (tv/projector). Now I can't do it because they changed phones to mirroring or casting which doesn't work without WIFI service which we do NOT want or have.

I have 2 hdmi ports on my projector. However, my Yamaha surround sound system is older and does NOT have an hdmi port. I am using one port on my projector for my firestick for streaming. I have a great video picture, but How do I get audio out of my projector?

So your Firestick should have built in Bluetooth in the settings. And then you can hook up a BT transmitter to your speakers by the inputs and should be able to transmit the sound wirelessly that way. Here's a video on the transmitter. @@CandidTechTV Okay, just want to be clear...I get my firestick to recognize this BT device, then I plug the Aux connector into that device and hook up the red (audio) connector to the front of my Yamaha tuner. Is that correct?

@@mcneillkm Yes, that is correct. You would then just put your tuner to that input and you should hear it coming through. In my experience, the latency with BT 5.0 and above devices has not been noticeable with video and works well. You would just put the transmitter you buy into pairing mode and then find it with your Firestick like you said.

Hope someone can help. I'm trying to mirror my laptop screen to a TV monitor and an Epson projector. I have an hdmi splitter with two outputs and the single input for my laptop. I will connect the laptop and then I connect the TV and it works, but when I also connect the projector. It won't work. I've tried flipping the order as well. I'll plug in the projector first and sure enough it works, but the moment I plug in the hdmi for the TV, the projector loses signal. What can I do to fix this? Maybe the splitter isn't good enough?

I have a question: So, if you’re able to connect your phone to the projector to put whatever movie you want through your phone and then if I wanted to use a regular blue toothspeaker.. Can I just turn on that blue tooth speaker to my phone and have my phone connected to the projector? Will that work as well?

Hi, I really need to your help. I bought a JBL soundbar which only has 1 Hdmi port. I am using my laptop to connect to my projector which uses a Hdmi cable aswell. The problem is that my laptop also only has 1 port which is connected to the projector. So with that said, how do I get the soundbar connected to the laptop? Do I need to buy an Hdmi splitter? In which the soundbar and projector will be connected which will ideally br connected to my laptop? Will it work? Your feedback will be most appreciated. With thanks! :)

If the TV had an HDMI Out that would be possible but most are usually only inputs so that probably wouldn't work. You could always just buy a Fire Stick or something like that though and get all your apps that way.

You can hook up the PS5 by HDMI and then hook up via the 3.5mm jack/aux cord to your sound bar for no latency. You can also use Bluetooth for the soundboard if your projector has it or add a Bluetooth transmitter but that will have some audio lag for video/games.

plug the transmitter into the projector and set it to "tx or transmit" mode. Set your speaker to pairing mode where it flashes and looks for a connection. Also set the transmitter into pairing mode (Which it will probably do by default when you first turn it on). They should find each other and connect automatically as long as they are both simulataneously in pairing mode.

How would you connect up to a projector with, let’s say 1 computer, an iPad & an iPhone, so you can flick from one to the next, with smooth transitions & not altering the screen ratio. When doing a presentation in church on a projector screen via computer, but other videos etc on other devices. I’ve heard a switcher mentioned, but don’t understand. Please help thank you 🙏

Yes, that's what I was going to mention, an HDMI switcher. If you're doing 4k content, you're going to want one that for sure supports 4k like this kind - this one actually has a remote too (affiliate: amzn.to/3vX59gU). You then would just hook up HDMIs between your devices and this converter (your input one would go to the projector). You would just need a special one for your iPhone like this (affiliate: amzn.to/314TwJm). There are generic ones too.

If you have a receiver for a satellite or cable box with an HDMI out, just hook up by an HDMI cable to your projector instead of a TV

Most projectors have a TVin (how the computer connects) and TVout, which will display the projector, so you can have a computer going to a projector, and the projector going to another screen

hi thanks for this video. I got a optoma ep719r projector from a charity shop. i paid £40 for it. i have a fairly new HP laptop so i bought a HDMI to VGA adapter and hooked it up as you instructed. however nothing seems to be happening... the projector turns on and projects the home screen of the projector but no image from my laptop is coming thru. am i doing something wrong? the instruction manual says that the projector will detect your laptop automatically... would really appreciate any help. also none of the buttons on the projector (hardware) seem to do anything. many thanks

Hmm there's no "source" option to select on the projector? A lot of them you can change the inputs and would be able to select "VGA" or "HDMI" then.

Hey you might need to change your audio settings off of Dolby if the projector doesn't support it (a lot of budget ones don't). You should be able to do that on the streaming service you are using. You just need to change the audio output to something else.

You can connect a cable box or streaming device to your projector, not the TV directly to your projector as your TV only has HDMI in most likely and acts as another display essentially.

What type of projector are you using? Does it have internal speakers? Have you tried using the audio out/headphone jack to a set of speakers? Otherwise some budget ones don't support Dolby audio. Try looking into the sound settings of your device you have hooked up and change it off Dolby if that's the case (maybe try this first).

Candid Tech TV I tried looking into my sound settings and tried changing the default. It has internal speakers in the projector. I am using the RCA multimedia projector the 136 version.

Ok the sound setting on the device you're connecting to the projector? Was it set for Dolby? Make sure you look at the sounds settings on whatever you have connected (PS4, Roku, etc)

You would really be better off just using a streaming device like a Roku or Fire stick straight into your projector. Your TV only really has inputs in, not out.
