I got lots of questions about my vlog camera I use in one of my older videos ( • a productive day [VLOG... )
so here is a quick little video about what you can expect when using the canon powershot v10. This camera is the main camera I film a lot of my vlogs on alongside my sony zv1 :)

this camera is good, I swear it's perfect. when I first got it I thought I was a KZfaqr with a million subscribers. and Its easier to film with it in public cause its small anyways the vid is soo good. I hope you reach 1k really soon so you can get monetized.

I’ve heard of this camera before but never really paid attention because of how it looks like but watching your vlog, the quality is actually great for how small it is! Now im considering buying one omg

I’m so glad! It definitely is one that I use very often! I actually recently uploaded another video on another camera I use daily if you’re interested - I honestly prefer it over the powershot v10 🤍

All the reviews I've seen so far is that it does not charge while you are using it and it is plugged into USB... which is it's major flaw. Which means you can't use it as a webcam or livestreaming very long, and because of the second major flaw of the non-removable built in battery, while on the go, you have to recharge it often.

ofc! Its so convenient for its small size and when I film in public, most people don't even notice it. I used to get so many more looks when I use my bigger one for sure lol - best of luck to your vlogging !

this is so incredible omg... I remember my first camera was a samsung with removable lenses that were very easy to break. i felt that cameras, even the GoPro, was so bulky. This is the mini camera of my dreams lol

I use a go pro too! I definitely think the built in tripod makes it way less bulky to use

I use the zv1 in addition to this camera! it's nice to have diversity in your equipment for different quality and angles :)

I use the default! Sometimes I'll change the warmth of the footage + adjust brightness but that's it!

Thanks so much! It used a micro SD card (not included) and I plug in the SD card into my computer when exporting for edit :) you might need an adapter to do this

Can you plug the charger in the phone and the camrea at the same time so the camrea footage go in the phone storage

No... does not work as USB storage device as far as I know. Even if you hook it up to a computer

How’d you make the video to 4k 60p if the max the V10 can do is 4k 30fps?

Although the power shot doesn't film in 60fps I did use my iPhone for some of the clips of the camera which is set in 4K 60fps! :) and then I believe that the settings I had for the video to be exported in were in 60fps - I'm not sure if this is 100% the reason but I feel like it makes the most sense???

thank you!! i edit in FCPX and the storage is outsourced rather than being built in. I use a 128gb mini sd card for it :)

hey quick question! Does the camera still charge while in use? because the charging light only turns orange when the camera is off but once its on the charging light turns off and the battery icon on screen turns grey, does it mean its charging?

That's such a good question and I actually have no idea! It doesn't say in the user manual but I would assume it does charge?? It would be weird for it to be plugged in and not eat up any energy even while you're using it (i think)

Hi, are you shooting in 4k or 1080 in this vlog? Just want to know if you also experience over heating when in 4k.

Hi! I believe my settings are default to 4k :) but i've never noticed overheating! to be fair, I always shoot small clips at a time rather than 10-20 minute videos at one time. That's a really good point to consider though, never realized that before!

I assume you meant resolution and fps? if so, it was recorded in 1920 x 1080pixels and 30fps

That's completely fair! I don't use this as my main camera, it's more of a back up for those moments where it's less convenient to have a bulky camera~ But I don't have much regrets with getting it!

No to the V10 on a table ! Filming anyboby under this angle is not the best . Too much focus on the chin, on the nose, the nostrils , and it makes anybody look not so good . To have a decent angle you should have any camera at eye level . or above . I am sort of fed up with seeing the nostrils of literally millions of vbloggers... buy tripods, quys !
