I've had access to some very nice weaponry but..100$ for a charging handle just seems ridiculous, well I guess that most gun related products these days

AR15basics has good ambi charging handles for around $15. I have owned 2 of them for about 4 years and they still look good and work perfectly. I don't understand these super high prices on some of these so-called premium charging handles. They look great, but so does mine.

@@CarbonGlassMan I just read the description for ar15basics premium charging handle and it says "Please allow 0-3cm error due to manual measurement." 3cm is over an inch. That is mind blowing.

Just left sportsman warehouse and they had a nice one for 169!!!! WTH!! My standard was 10$ and work's!

Breek Arms Warhammer Mod 2, USA made great quality. Comes in at $40.00 price tag for an ambidextrous charging handle. I love them!!!

I paid $15 for ambi charging handles and have 4 years of use on them and they still work fine and even the black finish is still on them.

Thanks for the info. Newer to the AR platform and put the raptor in my first Aero build. Might be a mistake as a Glock guy who starts with shitty triggers to appreciate the upgrade.

I like the Rapper on my battle rifle but on the AR pistol which is my utility cqb weapon it seems to get caught on my clothes or carrier.

Another charging handle you may want to look at is by Sprinbgfield Armory, the LEVAR Ratcheting Charging Handle. This works great when you encounter a jammed round in the chamber. It opens up to give you a leveraged pull to eject the round. It's not ambi but if you run questionable ammo this will pull them out when needed with ease. I'm just a huge fan of SA products.

I finally replaced the mil spec handle on my Sig M400 Tread with the Aero Precision Breach (long version). Very pleased with it, especially being a left handed shooter as I lost my sight in my right eye a couple decades ago (long story). Given that the Sig M400 Tread is marketed as having lots of ambi features, I'm a tad surprised it just didn't come with a ambi handle as the safety, mag release and the newer ones (IIRC) have the bolt release are ambi.

@@nightcat87 I’ve looked at those, I went with a raptor sd-sl. I shoot mainly suppressed out of a 16inch Christensen 5five6 and the raptor has mitigated almost all gas that would normally wind up in my face with say like an A2 style handle. PSA stuff is great tho, I just was looking for something super purpose built.

Obviously much better to spend upwards of 100 bucks plus on a charging handle than ammo, range time and training. It's depressing to just find out I've been wrong all these years.

Good video but I would do something next time about keeping the video focused on one setting. It keeps going in and out of focus.

Yao i hate to say it but ,I have purchased a few parts from strike industries and has issues in my builds on all accounts. They just dont seem to play well with others. I am new into the building aspect of it but i also have a few friends that actually are gunsmiths i ask to check my work and if ,i have an issue they take a look for me. Everyone is so busy this time of year as i live in a torusit are of the Jersey shore so all of us are working like nuts 7days a week to make the dead presidents as they say. So i have a question about the charging handles as the one rifle build im doing that has an issue is with the charging handle. My friend that took a look at it and I shreded the charging handle when we built the rifle. Its chambered in 45ACP but it hasnt fired a shot. I was wondering since i am so new at this, are charging handles caliber specific ,or are there more then one type for rifle vs pistol calibers?
