How charging up Tesla Coils with Tesla Trooper is actually affecting the turret? Does it matter how many Tesla Troopers are charging powered Tesla Coil? We will see how well charged tesla is doing versus Prism Towers.
Testing range and damage difference:
- In attacking single structure
- Fight against SAME COST Prism Towers (with Prism towers in range of Tesla Troopers)
- Fight against SAME COST Prism Towers (with Prism towers out of range to attack Tesla Troopers)

If I remember correctly the prism towers only combine beams if the supporting towers don’t have a target themselves.

Which is why you dont build your prism towers all together. Also by spreading them out, you can cover more of your base with the maximum firepower.

Allowing prism towers that are out of range to contribute is the main purpose of linking. Linked prism towers also deal slightly more damage than each individually, but there is also more damage wasted through overkill.

Honestly, an interesting test would be Tesla Coil vs Tesla Tank in Tank Bunker.

This is weird. I thought prism towers can charge up together to form a powerful beam?

Prism towers can only support another if they’re off cooldown. Because the game adds a random delay to attack cooldowns, units and buildings that are continuously shooting start to shoot out of sync after the first shot. Hence continuously shooting prism towers will become out of sync and aren’t able to support each other.

It's not as simple as that. Let's say Prism Tower 1 attacks the enemy and Prism Tower 2 supports Prism Tower 1. Prism Tower 2 needs to be far away from the enemy but near enough to Prism Tower 1. If Prism Tower 2 can see the enemy, it won't support Prism Tower 1 and if Prism Tower 2 isn't close to Prism Tower 1, it won't do anything

If the Prism Tower has to choose between attacking an enemy in range or linking with another Prism Tower, they'll attack the enemy in range.

guess the only benefit of more than one trooper was that 3 can power a Tesla coil even when the power is down, I might be misremembering though

IIRC at low power you'll need 2 troops to run the coil.

@@anonnimoose79872 Tesla troopers bring back the TC online if there is no power, but you need 3 to overcharge it if power is off.

I need a sanity check apparently. Why are these prism towers not combining to shoot one powerful beam? I swear they do that. I thought that was the whole point.

Prism tower sends their energy to an another tower IF the tower has no target. If it has a target, it attacks seperately.

@@danielszikora1345 Does the overall damage output remain the same or does it multiply somehow? Just wondering if having the towers placed such that they would transfer energy would be a better test.

@@DGneoseeker1 5 prism towers with supply destroys an Apocalypse tank by 1 hit. 4 still dosen't. Well in this test prism tower would still lose. Because onls one would hit a tesla coil, even if it one hits the tesla, another teslas would destroy the only one prism tower. I know how you meant it and I think in that case yes, prisms would have won that one by standing beside each other.

Afaik tesla coils DO benefit from more than one trooper. Damage does not increase with more troopers but range does.

Just loaded the first map again, and didn't see any difference in range. I tried forcing Tesla Coil to shoot with CTRL (force-fire) and all charged Tesla Coils seemed to have the same range If you wanna I can make a quick video showing that

Just allows them to fight on without power iirc
