Hello all!
In this video, I have curated a list of classes that I have taken in order to become and aesthetic nurse. These classes are available to everyone! and I recommend them if you are considering entering this field OR if you are a seasoned injector and want to learn new techniques and approaches that will broaden your portfolio!
I want all of you to succeed in this field, so I am here to help in any way I can :)
I have also put together a BLOG for you guys with this information and I will be blogging a little more in the future as well since some of you have expressed interest in that.

I’ve found your videos so helpful! 😊 I’ll graduate with my BSN this fall and I’m honestly so torn between ICU and aesthetics! I feel like I might be leaning more towards aesthetics though! Thanks for the great info!!

In nursing school now to become an aesthetic nurse ! I'm also a licensed esthetician (in Chicago) I'm really hoping this all goes well! I just love helping ppl in this way !! Everybody should feel beautiful!

@Marie Young Hi you actually have to go to nursing school to be able to administer botox and filler. I would recommend looking into the IL state board for nursing and see what the scope of practice is for a registered nurse. Then look into nursing schools. Once you are done with nursing school, you can look into separate classes that are specific to aesthetics. I know Rana Kennelly is in Chicago, she is amazing! Thank you so much for your video this was beyond helpful! I'm a 25F, looking into an esthi program so I can work as an esthi while I go back to school to become an RN or NP. Is it possible to get training in injectable’s before being medically licensed? Ive seen other Estheticians go this path through Laser Away or their employers holding trainings for them and I know technically its a big no but I was curious what you have to say.

I recommend rana kanellys courses. So worth it and 1 on 1 training. The classes only allow 3 people due to covid but I like way more. It was a great fundamentals ground base courses.

Hi! So it would have to be an MD you know or have a connection with. I would say start networking and going to conferences and asking around. There isn't a network of MD's...from what I understand it is "who you know" kind of thing. I would recommend start working somewhere and just connect with people.

Hi!!!! :) yayyy congrats on being a new grad! I would make it short, yet sweet. So basically add your work experience and relevant work experience in customer service (even if it is not nursing related). I would also add in classes that you took! that is huge. Keep it up

Hi, Thank you for all the excellent information. You're truly building a positive and empowering community for all injectors. In June of this year, I will graduate with my BSN and recently passed my NCLEX. ( i did a two year ADN program) I currently work at a dermatology and laser center, and I would love to learn about injectables. I will ask about the training with allergen since they should have an account with them, and I'm planning to take the courses you recommended. Do you have any recommendations on preparing for the training at home or videos to watch at home before the classes, since I have zero experience?

Hi, do you have any hospital/ bedside experience? Or did you begin working at a laser center while in school for your RN & BSN? Still debating if I should get hospital experience or work directly in a clinic related to cosmetics/aesthetics.

Hi girly! I just started my second semester of college, and I’m very interested in becoming an aesthetic nurse! I was wondering if you would recommend getting a 4-year BSN degree or just a 2-year degree?

Hiii Alyssa! you could do either or. If you were planning on working in any type of acute care setting, I would recommend BSN because they do look for a BSN degree in most hospitals and acute settings. it does make you more appealing in that sense :)

I want to pause my nursing classes to do esthetician classes first. Do you think that would be wise. My goal is to injection and etc I the future but for now want to get my foot into esthetics. Do you think this would be a good idea?

It is two different things. I learn a lot from our estheticians though so I think it is a great background to have! I actually have a video coming up soon with our esthetician, Aziel :)

Hi Maria! So yes, get your RN degree and then once you graduate you can take the courses :)

You can also be an LPN as well. You just have to be certified in IV admin.

@@nurselo_ good to know! is this in Cali as well? One of my friends told me that Cali and Texas use the term LVN vs the rest of the country is LPN. @@NurseJanetG you’re right, Cali is strict when it comes to LPN and IV admin. I reside in Maryland, Washing DC and Virginia are a lot more lenient.

I am a certified medical assistant. I really want to become medical aesthetician. Can a medical assistant take the courses you are talking about or first become an RN and go from there? I know as a medical assistant I could find a job with a dermatologist and get exposure. I just want to make sure I’m following the right path. I am currently working as a medical assistant but as nothing to do with dermatology.

Hi! I would definitely check with your licensing board just to be sure, but I know in Cali they are a bit more strict. LPNs can take the same classes if your state allows LPNs to inject and perform these treatments. I would call your board and see what the scope of practice is so there is no legal issue :)
