The approaching off-season gives all of us regular golfers a chance to take stock review what's in our golf bags and see whether there are some changes to be made prior to the start of next season.
With often some great deals to be had over the winter months in this video we kick off the process by analyzing the golf bags of the best players on the PGA Tour to see what the most popular 14 clubs are on Tour.

Great video...i knew Titleist is by far most popular with itons and ofc wedges...I thought TaylorMade would be second in the list and then Callaway and Ping...

Shaft selection seems exactly spot-on for what I'd have guessed; I'd even wager that this data set would remain consistent even if you examined more than just the top-100.

Another video coming on shafts across the bag. Suspect there won’t be too many surprises there though especially among the irons.

Wow, incredibly surprised by Titleist nabbing the top Driver spot, and only slightly less surprised by Taylormade's nab of the top Putter spot; to hear them say it, LOL, Callaway/Odyssey have advertised themselves being the "#1 putter on tour" so I would have guessed it was a specific Odyssey model, but they didn't qualify that statement within the top-100 players parameter you set. Awesome content, mate: Cheers again!

If you remove players who are paid to play a specific brand and look only at those who choose freely what clubs are they choosing? That would be a very interesting follow-on video. Thanks

Great to see wilson staff there even well behind the more popular makes. Once they were the biggest and slowly as ws get more exposure and respect,theyll be back. Great video

We did a short video on custom fitting existing clubs previously - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jt2Uaq9htseqqXU.html - but am thinking of going through my whole golf bag this winter with a specialist fitter and seeing what they would recommend. If we filmed that and did a series on the process and outcome would that be of interest do you think?

I230s are in my opinion one of the best looking ping irons ever ....

PING definitely make some great irons. Only issue I always had with them was hitting them much higher than other brands although I'm certain that's to do with my technique rather than anything to do with the quality of the irons!

PXG swamp me with adverts on KZfaq. Most if not all the KZfaq golf channels will rave about PXG in reviews. So 150 of the top Pro's won't put one in their bag? I do know that they are popular with some of the top female golfers. I could guess that maybe they are less bothered about turning up with a 'game improvement' club and bar a couple of long hitters most play a safe down the middle drive and then a safe approach on the green game. I just watched a Bryson WITB video and was surprised to see he has Ping i230 heads on those same length shafts.

Interesting. We’re looking at doing an update on the clubs the top LPGA pros are using again shortly and will keep a close lookout for how much PXG’s share has gone up or down since we last looked at couple of years back.
