Hi Paul.you have said the (to be happy)is a infinitive,to me the structure is a state because to be is not an action its to exist and when you ad happy,then your in the state of being happy.

Sure, that's the MEANING. But grammatically, it is the infinitive verb + adjective.

@@waynedavis1099 It is just a different USE of the infinitive verb form, a way of connecting adjectives.

Interesting I'm confused here I think researcher is a noun and research is a verb. In other case development is the process (noun), developer is the person doing development (noun), and to develop is verb. Thank you.

'Researcher' is a noun. "Research' is a verb.
