Sweet summer children, it was an actual flashback, it all happened shortly after she left Swordfather, before she figured out she needed to hide her eyes with the amber glasses because of how she would be seen. The play was a parallel to her past. Mama's "medicine" was Opium, the pipe she was smoking. She was an addict.

@@abbietheoreo "sweet summer children" is from Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire". It means someone is innocent, unexperienced or naive 😁😁😁 (because he only knows summer, never seen the harshness of winter). Great reaction btw 👍

the flashback was after she left swordfather and before she killed violet. her first kill was the bounty hunter..using the kitchen knife she gave ringo :))

Don't know why you guys took so long to understand that these flashbacks are exactly that. 😅And her "medicine" is opium, because she is an addict and did all that just to get her fix. This episode is so great and it's prime story telling.

Y’all Mizu had just fought off a ton of men probably on pure adrenaline and was tired from it. You expect her to fight off a bunch of men for Akemi 😂

Also, at this point, based on the flashback, Mizu probably sees Akemi (and Ringo) as a liability and think she's better off. Fellings only get on the way of the goal.

@@eliesundesastre9473 Also she likely honestly felt Akemi was better off with her father, being as she was currently IN A BROTHEL that caters to extreme tastes and nearly died like 4 times that day just for being near Mizu.
